I made mine yesterday and was wondering what if any everyone's looked like. Perhaps we have similar approaches or maybe someone has a better layout. Would love to see what you have and hear how you went about putting it together.

If you don't have a binder what other methods do you use to keep organised with trip planning? Please share.

:thanks:

Are talking about all the stuff you get from WDW or spread sheets? or maybe something else?

I have a area on my desk that I put all my disney stuff in.

SP

I have mine right by my laptop. Nice big note pad with dividers! One section for the serious stuff - flight times, booking references etc. Next section for everything i've read about, heard about, printed from the internet - my wish list. Last section for my daily plan... that's the bit that's hardest and keeps changing :rolleyes1

I have a full fledge binder.

It's a white 3 ring binder with dividers of every thing I need on my trip. I will try to post a picture later.

I have a three ring binder as well.

I have it split up into a billion sections it seems.

3 hole pencil bag
- pens, autograph marker, park tickets, travel cash, place to keep little scrapbooking things, etc.

Pre-Arrival
- Packing lists for each member of our party
- Departing check list (# of suitcases/person, all doors/windows locked, planning binder, cash for parking at airport, airport tickets, leave copies of everything with friend at home, etc.)
- Confirmations (airline/magical express tickets/conf., hotel conf.)
- Copies of tickets, etc.

Dining
- ADR Times and locations
- Directions to locations
- Contact numbers for locations

1 tab for each park
- List of what we bring in our backpack to the parks and who is responsible for what
- All typed up on one or two sheets to bring with us:
  • Strict itinerary for morning (once we've conquered all the popular rides, we just do whatever we want when we want)
  • ADRs and CS suggestions
  • List of our collective must-dos, ride if we have time, etc. to do in the evening
  • Parade/entertainment times, park hours
- Ride specific advice to go over the night before
- Blank paper to write down stuff about what we did that day so we can make our scrapbooking/trip reports easier.

General Tips/Info
This is where we keep pieces of paper where we have bulleted trivia facts, things to look out for (Crowning Cinderella Statue), etc.

I think thats it, but it isn't in front of me haha. I'll post pictures on Monday.

I have a 3 ring binder also. In the pocket in front are my airline ticket info, motel for the night before we leave, AAA info. Plus, my index cards for my ressies:)Then I have it by parks. Plus, any IMPORTANT info, what to see/look for, special hints, touring plans) I have a big manilla envelope that will go in there also, once I pack, this envelope has my tip envelopes for TS meals and for mousekeeping. It will also have health proxi info also. I made a cover for it from a design that I got my the disign board on here:) No pictures...tho...

I'm working on mine. I have a picture of the binder itself in my trip report. (link in siggy) I am working on the pages to fill it in.

I have, over the course of our trips, managed to boil down all the 'important' stuff onto two sheets of paper. I chose an Excel format, but it could be done on a word doc or even powerpoint. On one sheet, I have all the pertinent travel info. That includes dates, times, flight numbers, condo / hotel info and confirmation numbers, car rental confirmation number, blah blah blah. The other sheet is a spreadsheet showing all park hours, recommended parks (based on touringplans.com), and night event times (Wishes, Fantasmic, etc). I can't figure out a good way to post it here, but if anyone's interested, I could email it.

My binder is still in my head!!! I have not had time yet to sit down and start putting it together. I have the actual binder and tabs, but no time to put it together. Our trip is not until 2009, so I know I have plenty of time.

I don't feel quite so obsessive now. Thought I was the only one to do a binder. Last year I just made folders, found that was awkward couldn't keep pages in order.

This time I have a three ring binder with the clear front, since we are booked on the Land & Sea next year 2009, I have plenty of time. I have put the welcome post card from Mickey in the front with the reservation as a cover.

I have dividers and the first section will have all the planning for now. I have put sheet protectors behind all the dividers to slide the pages into when I start assembling them. I am planning to make one section for each day, with that days spread sheet and any other information for that day.

Now this is where I am getting really obsessive, our two sons and their families are going with us, so I am making a binder for each family.

I don't have any pictures, but will try to take one tonight and see if I can post it.

I have a three ring binder as well.

Here are pictures! I also forgot the first tab - Hotel! As well as one tab to be shared by Water Parks, DTD, and recreational whatever (water stuff, hay rides, that kind of stuff)

Each different piece of information is split up for easy finding by post-it flags. That way you don't have to go through random pages of (4 of 8) or (3 of 16), which is annoying haha.

WOW That looks pretty!! :earseek:

In the second pic where did you get that info? My binder looks so bare...I need to beef it up!::yes::

Yeah the contents in my binder are about 2 inches thick. Most of the stuff is print outs from TGM, including the second picture above (So no one try to read it because I'm technically not allowed to share any of his information but i figured the picture was blurry enough and I wanted to show that its easier to highlight and make notes on what you need from each page).

We have a party of 8 college kids, 6 of which have never been before so I put everything I could think of in that binder. haha. We aren't going until January so I'll have time to weed out some stuff when we get closer and starting picking specific restaurants, etc. I have free access to a kinko's size printer so i could print anything I thought I might use. If youre using a home printer, it'll be easier to write down the info you think you need from each article or copy and paste in a word doc to print out.

I think when we figure out our day to day itinerary, I'll substitute (or maybe just add to) the general park tabs, putting in tabs for each day of our vacation so we wont be flipping around all over the binder looking for stuff we need for that day.

Ya I can't read it. That's why I asked. :rotfl: That is a good tip about the highlight thing. It makes it look very neat.

Yeah I like it because lets say the article is over SpectroMagic, your highlighted segments and your notes basically say "watch Spectro from this location, be there at this time", which is what you read over and over again geeking out about your trip while youre planning. Then, once you arrive, the day you're going to see Spectro and you're back at your hotel resting, read the whole article to refresh your memory on the little details such as an easy way to reach your desired location with the least amount of people in your way, or where close counter service places are in relation to your viewing spot so you can grab an icecream cone for the kids while they wait. Thats the great thing about TGM is that he lays it all out for you. haha.

Have fun planning your trip!
