Has anyone lost weight using the Wii Fit?

I used to be 300lbs. I am now 235lbs...and I've gained weight since losing weight. This time last year I was 215lbs. I did it by doing Dance Dance Revolution for ps2 30 minutes a day. I havent done it in six months hence the weight gain, but I dont run, I dont go to the gym, I just watch what I eat and do DDR.

I just got the 3 inch aerobic step that goes under the balance board to give you more of a workout. I like to do the aerobics, free-step and marching band on Wii Fit Plus, so I think the step will help a lot.

Ohh awesome, I love step! I'm excited to start exercising now LOL

I'm glad you posted that it doesn't shop out till mid-jan. Now I don't have to feel crappy about buying it at Target yesterday.:rotfl: Well, technically we didn't pay for it, since we had target gift cards.

I just got it for christmas, and I use it, when the roads are bad, and I can't get to the YMCA. The only thing I don't like about it, you are not suppose to wear shoes and socks and the board. I have a bad back, and I need all the support I can get. Luckily my dd is home and she does the board and I just follow along.

I like EA Sports Active better than the Wii Fit. The Wii Fit bored me after a while and wasn't challenging. I am not super active but just didn't feel like it was enough.

I've heard that as well. Does Wii fit plus ramp it up a little more than the Wii fit? My girls decided to wait and get EA Sports Active later, once the Wii fit plus gets less challenging.

Maybe you're not supposed to wear shoes but I do. No way can I do all the running w/EA Sports Active bare foot. My knees kill me as it is, lol. Anyway, no ill effects to the board, DH wears his shoes too. I've lost 11lbs slowly over time. I definitely need more cardio but right now this works since the nearest affordable gym is a good 30mins away on light traffic day. Hopefully DH will remember he promised me a treadmill at bonus time...
