A co-worker of mine's daughter wants to this game for christmas. She is worried about the T for Teen rating. Anyone know why it might be rated T for Teen? Violence? Suggestive humor?

Thanks!

Wow, kinda weird it would get a Teen rating.

I haven't seen the game, but before I buy any computer game, I go to Amazon and read the user reviews. They are usually pretty accurate and alot of people will comment on the appropiate age group for the game. I bet it got a T rating for difficulty rather than suggestiveness or violence.

Haven't played the fame but I did see a couple of them at Target today. The rating said that it was for "cartoon violence."

I downloaded a demo version of the computer game. It opens with Mr. Incredible trying to get into some sort of building. Guards are firing some kind of fire shooting rifles at him. He can punch them (at least he's supposed to be able to; I was not able to get him pointed the right way all the time and he mostly had his back to them while he punched in the air). I don't know what else is in the game since my Mr. Incredible never got past that point.
Anyway, that's the cartoon violence in the computer version.
I think the Play Station and GameBoy versions are rated E for Everyone.

Thanks all!

I'll share this with her before I leave today at 11:30. We leave for the airport tonight and tomorrow at this time (7:50 a.m) we'll be on a flight to WDW!!!

My 11 year old daughter got it for her bday and its really funny. I didnt see anything bad in it at all.

Pretty much any video game with "Beat Em Up" stages is going to draw a Teen rating, even if it is done in a cartoon fashion. While some games are legitimate T for teen games, I've seen the Demo, and this game looks no worse than a Looney Tunes episode.

Have fun.

Uh-oh, my neighbors are buying this for my DS's 5th birthday this weekend. We have Xbox. I didn't even think about it being too violent. The Xbox is DH's and DS just started playing Nemo on it and asked for the Incredibles game. He just loved the movie so much and runs around the house calling himself Dash.

Really, I doubt you should worry. It really is no worse than Looney Tunes type of play.
