Has Anyone Found Point Information for Treehouse Villas?

I know everyone is excited about BLT, I am too -- but as an existing SSR owner, I am also very excited about Treehouse Villas. 60 three bedroom treehouses that look very cool. I'm wondering what they'll charge for points for these things -- less or more than a Grand Villa? It sleeps less people, but definitely has the cool factor going for it.

Can't find it through the points calculator where they have BLT points posted, anyone have any info on this?

I am curious too. I love the idea of the treehouse Villas...esp being an SSR owner! Hopefully someone will post more info on this.

I just found a thread on one of the other forums that indicated the points would be the same as an SSR 2BR, which is fantastic, right? Some grumblings about a queen size bed in the master instead of a king, but for 3 bedrooms in a cool setting, I'm thinking that's a bargain point price. :cool1:

Just hung up with MS and asked about the points for the THV. She told me the points weren't out yet but they would be published in 2009-2010 vacation book. As it wasn't due to open until mid 09 Not sure this really helps us long term planners:confused3

So far, there has been no announcement regarding a sales date or point charts for THV.

Since it has been announced as another phase for SSR and as "another room category" it will be available at 11 months for reservations by SSR owners. The original Treehouses were 3 BRs, but did not have a King Bed in the master BR. I think they also originally slept 6 with a Queen bed in the Master, a Queen bed in the 2nd BR and a Double bed in the 3rd. The new THV will be a little larger but with a smaller foundation footprint.

They were originally part of the Disney Village Resort, which later became Disney Institute and now will become part of SSR.

We're more interested in the Treehouses than BLT. They sleep 9 max, so (I hope) it looks like they'd be fewer points than a GV and maybe equal to or a little more than a 2 bedroom. We LOVED the old Treehouses, and we're really excited about trying the new ones. My DH has been totally uninterested in SSR (he liked the old Disney Village Resort atmosphere better) - until I told him about the comeback of the THVs. :goodvibes So I'd say we may be looking at an add on.

I agree........i'm more excited about THV than BLT!!! Especially after seeing the decor of the Blt rooms!! :lmao:

I'm considering selling my AKV to get SSR points specifically for the THV.

Ditto - We may be looking to get some SSR points as a result of this.

Not crazy about the BLT room decor either - reminds me of the 70s and the Brady Bunch. But then again, I'm no interior designer.

Wonder if we'll see the points chart before or after they declare them into inventory?:confused3 Be nice to see them before.

I'm going to start a thread complaining about lack of availability at THV for us SSR owners at 7 months due to all the people buying cheap BCV resales just to use them to get our Treehouse villas! ;)

I don't even own at SSR (we own AKV), and that made me LOL -- loudly I might add. :D

So what do you guys think? If a two bedroom, magic season, goes for 36 points per night, what do you think a treehouse will go for? 50 or 60?

Love it!:lmao:

It's going to have a queen in the master bedroom, a queen in the 2nd bedroom and bunkbeds in the 3rd bedroom. The living room will have a queen pull-out and a single chair.

I can't wait to see the points myself. Of course being an AKV member, it will be interesting to see if there is any availability at 7 months. But the 3 bedrooms for 9 people definitely intrigues me. It would work well when I travel with my sister and her family. Then my niece and nephew could have the bunk beds in the third bedroom and my sister and brother-in-law could have a bedroom while I have my own room.

does anyone know if there is a floorplan anywhere on the THV? I have to agree with the previous posters, as an SSR owner, this news is more exciting than BLT!!

:rotfl: :rotfl2: That certainly made me laugh!

I am really surprised and excited about the THV! I wasn't planning on buying any more points, but I will just to stay in the treehouses! Bunkbeds here I come!! Woo-hoo!!

So it looks like it will sleep 9! I like the DVC trend using the single chair for an extra guest!

I do hope they post the points soon!
