Has Anyone Found Point Information for Treehouse Villas?

I think this is going to be set up the way it was before:

there will be a small lower level, which will probably be the small room w/ bunk beds. On the main floor will be the two bedrooms, two baths, and general living area/kitchen......plus a balcony.

Of course this is all speculation of how things used to be

As a SSR owner, I'm not sure if I want the treehouses as 2BR points. Cheap points might let me stay a few days, but you cannot tell me that maint and housekeeping on a treehouse will be = to a 2BR. Maint will probably be more like a GV.
If SSR Treehouse points = 2BR, then effectively my maint fees go up to subsidize the treehouse occupants :(

I'm going to start a thread complaining about lack of availability at THV for us SSR owners at 7 months due to all the people buying cheap BCV resales just to use them to get our Treehouse villas! ;)

BAAHHH!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: That is very funny!!!!!!

Thats a good one.:lmao:

I am one of those thats finds THV waaaaaaay more appealling than a breakfast sandwich. I can't wait to see the pt chart for it.

For you SSR owners, if there isn't availability at 7 months, I have Dec at VWL to offer for trade. Just kidding Mods. Please don`t tell any groupies :scared:

I was thinking the opposite. SSR is large with many owners. If any resort could effectively lower the maintenance costs of the Treehouses, SSR is it. It already has the infrastructure and we are adding 60 units worth of owners too. Maintenance spread over that many owners should keep our fees down. I am an AKV owner also, but I think the THV will be cheaper to maintain the Savannahs and the animals. Petcare aint cheap!:goodvibes

There are only 2 bathrooms, so they will not be supplying a third bathroom and a powder room like they do in a GV. From the floorplan I saw, it's pretty much the same as a 2 bedroom except the second bedroom is split into 2 rooms with a queen in 1 room and the bunkbeds in the other. It doesn't have the square footage of a GV.

OMG I just spit my tea on my laptop!:lmao:

I think having the Treehouse Villas at a relatively low point price is a wise move on Disney's part. Currently SSR is the only resort that doesn't have something "special" going for it.

BCV: Small size, location, pool, hotel cluster, no car needed
VWL: Small size, location, hotel amenities, no car needed
BWV: Standard room rates, location, hotel cluster, no car needed
OKW: Big rooms, cheap prices
AKV: Value, concierge rooms, hotel amenities

It is my opinion that SSR is nowhere near sold out. Disney constantly gets contracts back through deed backs and cancelations. They have a impossible time renting these units out through CRO, and SSR has to be a terribly tough sell compared to AKV and now BLT. The Treehouse Villas, if offered at a reasonable point price, at least gives the average person a reason to want to buy into SSR.

I own at BCV, and this even made ME LOL! :rotfl:

I bet there will be some mad trading going on between BCV/BLT and SSR owners !

The THV just add to an already great resort. I don't agree that SSR doesn't have something special. The grounds are wonderful, my husband can walk to play golf and I can walk over to the spa. I love the fact that I can get up early and walk over to DTD and see the CMs getting everything ready for the day. We don't go to the parks everyday anymore so enjoying the resort means so much more to us. We usually fly so not having a car has never been an issue. Now the THV do seem to be a bit further out but I wouldn't mind given the atmosphere by the river and in the trees. I can't wait for the point chart to come out.

I am curious to see what the availability at 7 months would be? I definately would be interested in staying there!

We would also be interested in staying there..........and can't wait to see the points charts. Unfortunately we don't own at SSR, so would be waiting until the 7 mnth mark! Fingers crossed!!!!:cool1:

Where did you see a floorplan?

My DH is now  SSR! Imagine that. Wants to know when we can book the treehouse. They really do look great.

I swear I had to read that three times before I figured out what you meant. I am so s l o w these days, geesh! :surfweb:

I told DH last night that a treehouse might be fun when we travel with parents - we get one room, they get a room, and our boys (wow, saying that feels weird, I'm still growing one of them!) can have the bunkbeds. Or, we can use them when it's just us. Each boy gets a queen bed and we can have the bunk beds - I CALL TOP BUNK! :rotfl2:

Sorry, seem to be having a durh moment - but are the Treehouse Villas a seperate resort, or a part of SSR? Trying to figure out if you would request a Treehouse Villa when you make your reservation?

Anyone have that information?

According to one of my sources, the points for the treehouses will be the same as other Two Bedroom villas at Saratoga Springs.

I hope so. I hope this is part of SSR for 11 months.
