I flew Spirit Air last Sept from O'Hare to Orlando. They were the best price around $133 RT at that time. I considered using them for our upcoming May trip to WDW/DCL but SWA came out with the companion flies free program and we saved about $100. I had no problems at all with them. The plane was smaller than I'm used to-2 seats one side and 3 seats on the other. They only serve drinks and snacks on board-no meals. They have cheap airfare to Myrtle Beach and I'm considering sending DH and FIL on a golf vacation for Father's Day. I would use them again without hesitation.

We have flown Spirit out of Atlantic City several times, and they are OK, only had one problem one year in the snow they cancelled the flight. I have to admit that this was not the airlines fault, it appears that AC doesn't rush snow removal! I am sure that flying in and out of NY snow removal would not be a problem. Other then this experience, they as good as any other airline!

We've flown Spirit many times from AC. We just recently flew to MCO at Easter. The flights were very good and smooth, as a matter of fact the last flight was the smoothest I've had on any airline. We flew on an MD80, 5 seats 2 and3. I really love being able to get the two seat side when it's just my husband and I. You really need to book early though because the price of the seats go up as the plane fills up. I's choose Spirit over Delta or US Airways to Florida anyday, smaller airline with more personal service. You can bring a sandwich on the plane with you, it's perfectly fine

I've flown Spirit to Fla many times with no major problems - no frills - peanuts and pretzels operation - but always felt safe and personnel were friendly. Be aware that in some of the larger airports they are not a permanent fixture (don't always have permanent gates) - I once almost missed a flight out of Lauderdale because I missed the announcement when they changed gates at the last minute. I'm flying them again in Aug.

My brother in law flies them frequently between Ft. Lauderdale and Chicago and he says he has never had a problem with them. They use MD-80s and DC-9s so they have 2/3 seating throughout the aircraft which is nice too.

Hi, my father-in has flown from chicago to orlando on spirit a few times. He likes them friendly. The only thing he didn't like was not enough room, and no curb side luggage check-in.

I am flying them for the 1st in 3wks. I couldn't pass up the ticket price. I am a little worried about the no curb side check-in. I am traveling with 4 children icluding the stroller. AA is also my 1st choice because of the new leg room with all the kids it really helps.
