I found a really great rate for a Jetsgo flight to Orlando and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them? The only thing I've ever heard about them is they lost my friend's luggage.

Help! :)

They're not one of my favourite airlines. I found the seats to be uncomfortable, and the staff to be rude. Currently they're at the bottom of my airline list, and the only way I'd fly them again is if they had flights I wanted as part of their $1 Sundays. I even booked a flight to Edmonton on Westjet that was more than with Jetsgo, because I'd rather pay more and have a comfortable, pleasant flight.

I'd basically say that they're the Greyhound of air travel.

Uh oh, I'm a bit screwed I guess :(

All the other airlines were charging $700 and up per person for my dates. I've been having the worst airline luck lately! I better keep checking out expedia and travelocity.

Thanks

Financial newspapers are talking about Jetsgo going into bankruptcy inside 90 days...

Haven't heard that, but to be honest I wouldn't be a bit surprised.

I guess I'm kind of "old school", but I usually think that companies basically giving their products away for no apparent reason just isn't a good sign. First they did their Loonie Sundays, then they had seats on for 20.05 (which I can see, it's a good advertising gimmick for a new year), but going back to Loonie Sundays? Can't see a reason for it at all.

I guess I'll supply the first dissenting vote...I've probably done 20 Jetsgo flights on their Toronto to Montreal run... My company switched from Air Canada because AC was overbooking their flights so much or cancelling at the last minute that they were becoming unreliable... In all my flights with Jetsgo I never had a problem, on time, luggage arrived, pleasant flight attendants. My last flight with them was six months ago, so maybe they've gone way downhill since then.
The only thing I could say on the downside is that they make you pay for any in-flight beverages, pop or juice is $1 each, but thats not a big deal because at the time the airfare was about $150 cheaper through Jetsgo.
About the financials, who knows... as of yesterday they were still adding more flights... All the carriers are suffering from high fuel prices and cutthroat fare wars, so its possible for any of them... Air Canada has been in bankruptcy protection too....

I have flown Jetsgo a couple of times.
I found them just as good as Air Transat or any of the cutrate airlines.
They screwed up big time during the past storm as they had no extra aircraft to provide flights once everything started flying though.
I wouldn't have a problem flying with them again but the seats are NOT large if that is an issue for you.

Cheers,
Grumbo

I've flown JetsGo several times from TO to Montreal and TO to Halifax. Only a couple minor delays (less than an hour). I have no problem bringing my own snacks to pay half price.

However I though Jetsgo flew into Sandford (45 min from Orlando)?

Hi All,

I read on these boards (in the last couple of days) that Jetsgo may be heading towards bankruptcy in the next 90 days. :sad2:

I would really consider booking anything with them very carefully.

We flew Jetsgo last year to Florida from Ottawa, connecting through Toronto. Our connection was tight and a rep ushered us through, so that was great. The seats were comfortable, the staff really nice with the kids. I didn't mind buying a treat on the plane. I had brought along some stuff and so the kids each had a dollar to spend on the plane. It is cheaper than airport food! I would have flown them again, but we did our seats through Air Miles this year.

We flew Jetsgo last April and thought they were fine. No free snacks or movies on our flight but when you're only in the air 2 hrs or so, who cares?! I much prefer Sanford airport to MCO, it's cleaner, less busy and no taking that train to another building to wait for your luggage that hasn't arrived yet(my pet peeve at MCO!) HTH, Jen

I was looking for a deal a week ago and kept getting prices in the range of $700.00 also. I lucked out with Air transat and got the return flight for 15 people at a cost of $314.00 all taxes included. I was very happy with that price.

Is in Las Vegas as I 'speak' and flew with Jetsgo. He said it was a very comfortable uneventful flight and left ontime with no probs.

I've flown Jetsgo a few times, everyone was always nice. Never had a problem with them.
I'd prefer them to Air Transat.

We flew to Las Vegas this past August and had no problems at all. The seats were a little squishy though, but no different then the Air Canada flights I have been on.

I've flown Jetsgo to Sanford and found it very convenient. I'd fly it again in a heartbeat. Also, charter flights are non-refundable and Jetsgo will let you make a change in flight for a fee. Stopped at Tims, grabbed a snack for the flight, a short flight, off the plane, luggage is waiting, car rental convenient and off we go. Works for me.

A friend of mine is in the travel consulting business, her only problem with booking Jetsgo is that they are a "raw" airline, meaning no free food, no inflight movie and small seating. She has said to me many times that for some people this is a problem. Otherwise her comments on this airline have been positive, she and her DH fly with them all the time. I've flown Airtransat a few times and this time down we got a great internet rate through Southwest. Good luck. :bounce:

I decided to book with Jetsgo. The flight was $300 less then any other I can find that fit my schedule (I'll be flying over Easter weekend so things were pretty booked). I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes okay :goodvibes

Yay! I'm going to Disneyworld :Pinkbounc

Were did you find this deal? I priced it out and for our family of four round trip is over $800. The price you are quoting is a little more than we paid for gas when we drove our last trip in Nov, from Goderich ON to Orlando and back. I would snatch that price up in a second, rather then drive 22hrs.
