I know the sliders are better but I received a bunch for a gift. I heard they fall off and was wondering if anyone has a way or suggestions on how to make them more secure. Besides Super glue,,, I would like to change them out.
Thanks all

Try using some glue dots - you can get them in micro size. They should hold for a couple of days and still be flexible enough to pull off. I don't know if I would leave them on for a long time and expect them to remove easily, but for a few days there shouldn't be a problem. As they get old, they dry up some.

Oh good luck!! I put my Magic Band on during our descent and had lost by bandit by the time I got to the DME podium Please report back if you find something that works!

I bought a pack of bandits last year and lost them all off my band by that night.

Hmm. We all had bandits last year and they were fine - didn't lose any - until the kids played in the Dumbo play area and then lost about 4 of them (all the ropes I think). Perhaps it's an issue with the newer magic bands.

Hot glue......
ohhh great Idea as well. I tell you what in about two weeks my magic bands should arrive, and I will try the glue gun and glue dots and wear them around the house for a few days. I was thinking about some kind of double sided tape or that stuff 3-m makes to temporarily hang things on walls. What is that sticky glue stuff you sometimes find in packaging? Almost seems like a clear rubber cement type material. Might try it all.

I,ll report back with my findings.

Be sure to keep your receipts when purchasing Bandits. You can have lost Bandits replaced at any shop where they are sold as long as you can prove you had purchased them.

I got my husband and I the wedding Magic Bandits for our honeymoon trip, and mine had fallen off by about halfway through the trip. My husband offered to replace it, but I found them to be kind of a nuisance so I didn't worry about. I suspect it fell off when I was taking off my sweatshirt, but who knows?

So no, I don't know how to secure it, but they definitely will fall off and get lost if you're not paying close attention.

We lost a few and found a few, I decided to see it as "tading" lol We decided not to get them anymore since they fall out so easily. Maybe we will try to glue dots if others say they work.

Stupid question, but how do you use the glue dots with them? Place it over the hole before pushing the Magic BandIt through?

I lost my glow in the dark Oogie Boogie bandit on our first day walking up Main Street on our last trip. I won't waste any more money on those things.

Has it occurred to anyone on here this is all part of Disney's latest nickel-and-dime plan? Make them crappy and loose and then the schmucks-sorry guests-will buy more...:furious:

..No? I bought some of the Mickey head gem ones in 2014 and they've stayed on fine. I also bought my first pin from the AKL gift shop and lost it by the time we entered AK.

There are no stupid questions!
I was thinking about putting a hole in the middle or if i can't do that just attach them under the bandit. I will post in a few weeks when I test out different methods

I haven't tried them yet on magic bands because I haven't been to the world in a couple of years. The reason I thought of it is that I had some furniture with adjustable shelves, and the shelves have a support with a little post that fits (too loosely) into the holes drilled in the furniture. The posts and holes are a bit larger than magic band sizes, so I used a larger size of the glue dots. Sort of stretched it around the post and pushed the whole thing firmly into place. Worked like a charm. The posts on the magic bandits are small enough that the micro sized glue dots ought to work. If I had unpacked my disney stuff yet, I would check it myself.
