Has anyone ever tried 100 calorie portion sizes, once per hour?

Has anyone tried with success reducing portions to 100 calories, once per hour while awake? The food choice is your own, obviously nutrition dense and lo glycemic index would be best. My friends and I have summarized the basic ideas here:

I've never heard of this type of diet, but is doesn't seem very practical. And I don't see any benefit to eating this way as opposed to larger portions every 2-3 hours.
