Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has stayed at this hotel which is located across the street from Downtown Disney? Good or bad any thought is appreciated. Thanks!

there is a separate forum for non-disney affiliated resorts. I cant post links but thats probably where you'll get more info on that hotel. :)

Here is a response that I recently posted to another thread. You may find it interesting.

I was just scanning through the boards and noticed your question about the Buena Vista Palace from a few days back. I have stayed at the BVP several times in the last few months and in fact I will be staying there this weekend when I take my 6 year old grandson to Disney. Having always been a Disney Resort person, it was quite a change for me to try a non Disney Resort, but I have had very good experiences at BVP. The resort has recently been totally renovated and the rooms are all very modern and beautiful. There is a full service indoor spa and three pools outside. Contrary to some comments I have read on the Dis Boards, BVP does provide Disney Transportation to all the parks and since it is located right across the street from the Disney Marketplace, you can walk Downtown in the evening to unwind from the day.

They have a great restaurant called The Outback (no relation to the chain) that serves wonderful steak and seafood and the Watercress Cafe provides a character breakfast every Sunday with Mickey and his pals.

As I say, for someone who is steeped in Disney, it was quite a break for me to try a non Disney resort, but I have been very pleased with the Palace.

We stay there one night last year, we were drive home from Naples & I needed a Disney Fix;) We were in the main tower-I think that is what it is call the same Building as the Front Desk. The staff was so friendly & knew lots of thing about WDW-the bellboy told us the parks hours for the day & bummer but no Spectro tonite. Show us where everything was in the room how to work the remote, hung up our bags. the room was spotless & so were the grounds.
