Has anyone EVER got their tax refund back before 14 days???

Just curious...

We always do our taxes using Turbo Tax, by e-filing, and every time, we see at the end, "you can expect your refund in 8-14 days". Really???

Now, I'm grateful we even get $$ back, but knowing I've got it coming makes me excited and anxious. We always choose to have it directly deposited in our bank too to expedite the process. We always hope we will be one of those lucky people that can get it sooner than later.

I think last year it was about 14 days until we got it. Has anyone ever received it faster than that??

If I remember correctly we usually get ours anywhere from 8 -10 days. Always amazes me how fast it comes.

I go to an accountant and he always tells me the exact day that it will be in my checking account and it is always there that day--I usually file on a Wednesday or Thursday and then a week from that Friday its in my account.

Mine was accepted from the IRS last Monday 1/18 and I got the refund yesterday 1/26 , so yes...

If you file early enough you can have it in just a few days. Check the schedule on the IRS website to see what the deadline for filing is and when the checks are deposited. Say if you file on Monday and the cut-off it Tuesday you could very well have your refund by the following Tuesday. They have a chart somewhere with all the dates.

Golfpal, yep, I saw someone posted that on the TurboTax question and answer page. Looks like your refund needed to be posted by Jan 21st by midnight in order to get it by the 29th. So, hope I get mine then! I'm still looking for that schedule to post to, so others can see it.

We e-file through H&R Block and i think that 14 days was the absolute longest we've ever had to wait. Last year we didn't even go a week b4 the fed. refund showed up. Its great. Everybody should e-file and just wait. The stupid same day loans are so not worth it.
