Has anyone ever found a resale to buy that was for 25 points? We are on the list with Disney for an add on, but I was wondering if I should also contact the resellers - (we are trying to add on 25 points at OKW)

TIA

yes, there have been resales on 25 , 50 points, but remember wether you buy 25 points or 225 points from resale you will pay the same closing cost with either amount of points purchase and i have heard around $500 or so for closing costs thru

http://www.atimeshare.com/cgi-local/listd.cgi?disy

i have another website but evertime i post the address it comes up *******
if you would like it pm me and i will pm you back with the address

I don't search the resales every day, but close to it, and I have never seen a resale for 25 points. The lowest I have ever seen were some for 40 points.

there was a 25 on atimeshare store about a week ago , i was considering it except when i thought about how much for closing, i would rather wait on the waitlist thru dvc.

Most of the smaller resales don't even make it to the websites since they go very quickly. Contact a few of the resale companies and ask them to contact you if a small resale like this comes up. You won't have long to decide if you want it or not. We got a 50 point resale once and there were about four or five other people who were also being called. I took it right off the bat without finding anything about it. We just wanted to add some more points at OKW.

Posters have said that there is no longer a wait list for add ons by DVC anymore (unless your guide is keeping one independently). If you went on a list a while ago, you should call and talk to your guide.

Yes, the Timeshare Store had a 25 point BWV contract available about 10 days ago, as someone else here mentioned. I called and said that I wanted it, but was told that it had sold 20 minutes before I called. It had only been listed on the web for 45 minutes.

The closing costs do really add to the per-point costs with these small contracts. The brokers don't seem willing to let sellers do the closing themselves, as far as I can tell.

I bought a small resale because I didn't have the cash for the 150 point Disney minimum. However, I concur with others that the closing costs may be prohibitive. Since you already own, I'd stick with Disney direct. I have seen 25 point contracts, though, and banked points could tip the scales in resale's favor.

I will put a call in to our guide, bc it has been awhile. I will also contact the resale sites.

Thanks again!
