Has anyone ever brought single jogger to plane entrance?

Has anyone ever brought a single jogger stroller to the plane entrance for them to check at the door or do I need to check it as a large luggage piece.

I would just bring it--don't know where I saw it..but I have heard of bringing a double.

Surely your single jogger is "smaller" than my old tandem (non-jogging) stroller .
