I have seen a few DVC members (using points) get a complimentary upgrade.
In addition, I have booked using points and purchased an upgrade at check-in. It was really easy. They just charged me the difference between the two catagories as if I had paid cash in the first place.
How would you check if you'd been upgraded, we booked using points and were given a cabin number and ressie but can't access the dcl site to check if we've been upgraded, apparently you can't use the ressie number that dvc gave you, i'd love to know if we've been upped. ??
p.s how much did you pay to upgrade ?
I have my DVC Vacation Planner, and I don't see any Category 12 for points for any of the 2004 cruises. We are interested in a cruise on points, and would book using the fewest points. Do you call MS for the number of points required for Cat. 12?
I found out that i was in cat. 11 by checking the deck plans. Cat. 12 units are very limited, looks like only a dozen rooms. I have to check my points, but it wasn't many points to book Cat. 12.
