my DH heard that there is something else brewing behind Jeanne:(

I sure hope this is the end

How much more can anyone take of this?!!!!

enough is enough already

I hope this isnt true

Yes, TD 12 which will probably be Karl is off the coast of Africa. I'm afraid this busy season is the norm for us for the next few of decades. We are just coming out of the abnormal mild portion of the cycle.

Yeah, I heard that the tropical depression 12 is tracking away from the US coastline. It's way out there though, and Jeanne seems to be the concern right now.

The best site for a lot of information on the storms is wunderground.com. Look at the historical maps for storms like Karl. If Karl follows the projections (which all take the storm due north in a few days), it will not hit the U.S. Actually, the historical maps show that only one Sept. storm that has formed near Karl has ever hit Florida. That one did not take a north turn, but headed due west.

If it turns north, as all of the computer models say it will, The U.S. should be fine.

please no more hurricanes
first for all the locals who have to deal with it
but also for us who are supose to be there in 14 days

Enoughs enough already my uncle hasn't had time to finish repairs form the first two that hit FLA and i know there are several people who haven't

Way too early to get worked up about what's behind Jeanne. As we saw with these last hurricanes, they really have no idea where they are going much beyond a day or so in advance.
And that goes for Jeanne also.
Remember that early on, they had Ivan slamming central Florida directly, then it changed to wasting the Florida Keys, and then it changed to what actually happened.

The location(s) that these storm/hurricane(s) have been hitting is uncommon however the number of storms is not uncommon. If you look at historical data, the number is in the average. We are just seeing some really interesting patterns which are coming close to and hitting Florida and is making more people aware of the issue - especially us Disney people
