I was reading about this tour in one of the guidebooks and thought it might be worth while since I've never been to Disneyland.
Any comments from those who have done this tour?

can't believe nobody has replied for this person....and I'm interested in hearing who has done it.

Has anyone done any of the tours? I know alot of people on this board are DL vets but surely someone has some experience????

I'm doing Walk in Walt's Footsteps on Friday. I'll let you know how it goes, but I've heard nothing but good things!

I have been do DL many times and have not done the tour....yet. I plan on doing it soon so when I do I will have to post about it.

I just got back and wanted to let you know that Walk in Walt's Footsteps was a neat tour! It's 58 per person and with that you get a tour for 3 hours, a pin with the tour's title on it, and lunch. You also get to ride 2-3 rides where you walk right up and get on with no wait. We did Jungle Cruise, watched the Tiki Room show, and rode the train. The information our guide had was amazing and she told us a lot of things we didn't previously know. We also got to go into the lobby of the infamous Club 33 and take pictures and such.

It was worth it to me, but I think that now that I've done it, I wouldn't pay to do it again because while a different guide may have different anecdotes or information, the general gist of the tour remains the same.

I say go for it. :D

bumpin' this thread back up!

I'm going in January & am considering "Welcome to DL" and
"Walk in Walt's Steps" tours. Last time I was there was 40 years
ago, so I feel like a first-timer!

More feedback on the tours? popcorn::

Thank you for your report!! I think I will sign up for this tour it sounds interesting!

It seems like with the tours it all depends on how much people like/dislike the tours is on their tour guide. Which can be a hit or miss.

Honestly, since you've never been to Disneyland, I would do the Welcome to Disneyland tour. It's only $25/person for 2.5 hours and since everything is pretty new to you it seems like you will get a lot out of it.

I say go for it!

I think you are right about the Welcome to Disneyland tour. I was reading the guide book last night after reading this post and it seems that as a first timer the Welcome tour would be the better way to go.
