Just curious if anyone on here has done Akershus breakfast solo and cares to share their experiences?
I've had both good and bad experiences doing character breakfasts solo but dont mind eating alone just wondering if anyone else has done it before?

One of my main concerns is that it is served family style and I dont want to feel like i'm wasteing food if they bring tons and tons of food to my table and i'm not able to eat it or or do they adjust the serving sizes for smaller parties?

From what I understand of the 'Family Style' all you can eat buffets, they have a 'single diner' portion versus the family portion...or else they've downsized the portion period and let the guests ask for seconds. Either way I didn't have any issues.

I dined there solo (it was dinner) in January 2009 and did not feel uncomfortable at all.

My BFF and I went to Akershus for the princess breakfast last March, and while we had a decent time, I wouldn't revisit. The princesses seemed a little confused by our presence (we were 20 and 21 at the time) and kept asking if we had any other princesses joining us (yes, they meant children). In addition, the breakfast was around $30pp and the food was mediocre at best (some sort of cheesy hasbrowns, eggs, and bacon...and then there was a buffet with a wide assortment of fruit). On the plus side, we did get a professional photograph taken with Belle (one 8x10 or so and like four 4x6), and it turned out really nicely!

We paid for the experience...which would have been more magical with children in our party, in my opinion. My BFF and I enjoyed ourselves nonetheless and we'll be back in WDW this August (Akershus ressies not included)!!:woohoo:

I agree with the prior poster who mentioned that the princesses seemed a little confused by adults, or even teens. We went with two teenage girls and the characters all seemed a little bemused by the girls being there. I wouldn't go back as an adult.
