Has anyone cried or acted insane?

I'm imagining actually being on The Wonder, and I think throughout the trip I'll either be crying tears of joy or jumping up and down while clapping like a loon with excitement. I get choked up watching DCL youtube videos (especially ones that play the horn) so I figure I'll likely shed a tear or two on board. But I also see myself acting like a magic starved disney addict about to get the fix of a lifetime. Anyone ever embarrassed themselves on board?:dance3:

I got very teary eyed as they sounded the horn as we departed port canaveral. Thank goodness I was wearing sunglasses, otherwise my DH and brother would have teased me the whole cruise.

I did have an emotional moment at the sail away party. I was standing there, watching my kids, in tears. I still cry when I watch the video (if course I also cry at Wishes and several other things at WDW).

For me it was more like, "What do you mean my cruise is over and I have to get off the ship???"

I cry when I hear the horn sound also!! My dh thinks I'm nuts!! But I love disney!! :)

Ummm, yeah!!!

I cried when we came in view of the Magic at PC, I cried at the Sailaway Party, I cried at the graduation ceremony for the kids, I cried when Tinkerbell spread her pixie dust over the boat at the farewell show and I really cried when we had to leave the ship (and it wasn't cause I had to be up so flippin' early).

It was all so "magical" (for lack of a better word) and the trip of a lifetime and then somehow, I convinced my DH to book a double dip just to feed my addiction..... Yes, I too have drunk the DCL koolaid.....

Our Daughter (8) was crying when it was time to get off. We almost had to drag her off.

We haven't even gone on our cruise yet & I get teary eyed everytime I hear the ships horn or see a youtube video of the cruise. I can't wait!

I shed a tear at the kidsclub graduation. I kept telling myself I was being stupid, but I just couldn't help it!

let's see...

cried when I first saw the Magic coming over the bridge as we drove into Port Canaveral

cried when I rode the escalator up into the terminal

cried when we walked up the gangway to board the ship

cried even more when we entered the atrium and they announced our name

cried at sailaway when the horn sounded

cried when we first started moving

cried a million times on the cruise

cried the last night when we had to say goodbye to our awesome serving team

cried when we had to say goodbye to our stateroom host

cried when we walked off the ship, and pretty much the whole way to the airport. DH thought I was nuts!

The only thing that keeps me from not completely falling apart now that we're home is knowing we have another cruise booked!!

true story I cried during takeoff on a flight home once, my dad thought it was because I don't like flying but it wasn't because I don't mind flying anymore I was sad the trip was over and it hit me at that time, I find it funny now :rotfl2:

what dreamcometure said...I am such a sap for Disney stuff.....daughter used to be a CP now a full time lifeguard for DVC. You know I cry at all the stuff, getting there, being there, leaving there...Oh well just got to enjoy every last minute of it.. Enjoy yourself who cares what other people think?

lol....when were you not crying?

I get a little choked up about 3 times per cruise....when we board and they announce our name, at 'Celebrate the Journey' graduation ceremony and at the 'Until We Meet Again' thing on the last evening.

The farewell show is a very moving presentation. That's when reality sets in: the vacation really IS over and we really DO have to get off the ship in the morning to go back to our 'normal' lives.

NOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo...............

Our 3-nite cruise was WONDERful, but a 7-niter grows on you. It becomes a way of life. Kicking us off the ship was like pulling a tooth.

DD, then 4 yrs old, cried hysterically in the atrium when it was time to leave The Magic. I'm talking all out fit, grabbing onto railings, sitting on the floor, pleading, begging, whatever she could do to try not the leave the ship. The CMs were great, trying to talk to her, but nothing worked. She then got ME in tears. Finally DH had to just pick her up and carry her off.:sad2:

I probably would have been really mad at her for the whole scene, but really, WHO could argue with not wanting to leave the ship????:confused3

awwwww
now THAT would have got me bawling- even if it wasn't my kid! :( :( :(

I had weird moments- I guess the best way to describe it was melancholy or nostalgic even though it was my first cruise... hard to describe. Did not cry but felt "outside" myself at moments... deep in thought or something. It happened a few times- I guess it was a feeling of is this real? Which I suppose could be a reasonable way to feel after waiting almost 3yrs for the cruise to finally happen. the first time was as they announced us when we got on the ship- and again when the kids were dancing in the sailaway party. From then on out I tried REALLY HARD not to even think about it because if I did -my thoughts would go to "how much more time" we had left on the cruise and that was just more and more depressing as time went on-and the closer the end of the cruise became- hence the reason I tried not to think about it!
I put myself in such deep denial that really it didn't really hit me that it was really and truly over until we were on the flight home (after spending almost an entire day at the Hyatt) so it was late that night. I was so sad I didn't unpack our suitcases for like a week. Or atleast that's the excuse I used.
