I called about it since it said "use it for 30 days for $14.95" and I thought....dang how much is it? It was $149!!!

Has anyone bought one (I think you actually get 2 for that price)? Is it worth the money? I have wavy hair and would love to be able to straighten it and make it frame my face. Does it give you that "salon look"?

TIA

I'm interested to know how they work, too! I have a CHI, but at 400+ degrees, it does a number on my hair! This seems like a good alternative.

So you get 2 for $149? It looks like they're selling for about $100 on eBay, so you could buy the 2 and sell one and get some money back.

How much is shipping for the trial? I'd try it for $15 or $20, but if its another $15 to ship and then you have to pay to ship it back...I don't want to be out$50 when its all said and done and the thing doesn't work!

I saw it on QVC tonight, they had it for $80 something, or 5 payments of $16 something. QVC has an awesome return policy for the first 30 days, probably much easier to deal with.

Well....I just bought it...lol

Im just going to sell the additional one on eBay to get some of my $$ back on it. I paid the $7.65 for priority processing so I could get it for my trip. Thats a gimmick Im sure......I cant imagine it really taking 4 to 6 weeks to get it like the site says.

Its $14.99 for the 30 days and if you decide to keep it, its 3 payments of $39.99 plus S&H of $19.99 (billed with your first payment of $39.99). Priority processing was $7.65 (I think.....$7 and change) so a grand total of:

$162.60 (approx)

This thing BETTER work...lol

Those who bought it, keep us updated. I am on the fence about buying it too. I thought about maybe asking for it for Christmas. It is a steep price, but if it works, maybe it would be worth it. I have always been a sucker for hair stuff anyway!

I'm thinking of buying it too, can't wait to hear what people think of it. It looks like it would be better for my hair then my flat iron .. but who knows.

my DD11 (curly hair) and her BFF (very curly hair) used their own money to buy the 2 instylers. it did not work at all, DD says it made marks on her hair and did not "flip" her hair under as seen on the commercial. they returned it and DD bought a regular chi, which she has been happy with. perhaps it depends on the type of hair and the level of skill of the person using it, good luck & let us know how it works out!

curious to hear your thoughts on it now that you've bought it...

I was always happy with my wet 2 straight remington...it did the job, but was reading to try a thinner one..(i had the 2 inch)...switched to the 1 inch, thinking, ummm, won't it take twice as long, or not do as much

I can't put this into words well, but wanted to try this before i put money out for a Chi, or a pricey one, etc...

so now i'm using the 1 inch wet 2 straight (got at target)...man, i like it more than the 2 inch and i'm loving how quick, smooth and straight it's been

I had looked at the instyler, but didn't want to pay that much for one, so i started reading reviews, etc..but knew i was "pretty much" happy with what i all ready had...but got caught up in the hype - but tried another, same brand, a little narrower, and i'm LOVING my hair.

went to Florida last week, and my hair looked sleek and was happy i settled on trying another 20 dollar one. I probably could have stayed happy with my other...but i guess i "wanted" to keep trying...it's okay...one for home, one for my new owner's locker now!

OK, I checked out the wet 2 straight, and that looks really cool! So it looks like you can use it on yourt hair wet or dry, is that right? I might have to try that out!

I got mine on Ebay, and it works great on my hair. I have thick, wavy, hair. Our local television channel did a "deal or dud" show on there. It worked well on some hair types, but not others.

So it looks like you can use it on yourt hair wet or dry, is that right?

Yes, you can, but I don't....I don't want to take a chance of damaging my hair more if it's wet...they have little steam vents though. I have done it damp before and it steams, prefer my hair dry first....

Usually a do a quick blow-dry - and it's all fluffy, but i just flat iron it

I also think time has helped me...I used to run it through 1-2 times, but doing it one or two extra times, it's made a huge difference in sleekness...but i do it quickly, and just use pressure - because tension helps

I bought it (two of them since that's how they come) and I like it. I have only used it on dry hair. It makes my very-hard-to-manage hair nice and straight and smooth. I can't get it to do a look with any volume though (like I'd get at the salon with a round-brush blow-out); it's very straight and flat like a flat iron would be.

Well......volume and "flipping under" are the 2 things Im looking for from this (aside from straghtening of course) and the 2 folks who mentioned it said it didnt do well.

Maybe they give you the 30 days to learn how to use it.....becuase you don't get the $14.99 back even if you return it. I does't lok like its hard to use though. I've never had any luck with flat irons....so any imprvement will be god for me I guess...lol.

Im just hoping it arrives before our trip!

I have it, only because my friend bought it and did not like it. I have tried it out, it is alright, not anything to write home about. I don't typically flat iron my hair either (too lazy for everyday), but for straightening, my flat iron worked much better. This did put a little curl to my hair when I tried, but it was somewhat awkward.

Unfortunately, my flat iron just died. My daughter has been using it everyday for a month, and it has decided not to heat up anymore. She is now using the instyler, but her hair looked better with the flatiron. Very disappointed that the flat iron died so soon, it was not cheap. I actually bought it in the spring, but only used it a few times before my daughter decided that 6th grade meant spend lots of time primping.

I have bought it awhile ago and love it. I don't use it all the time but when I do I am very pleased. I have two of them and am thinking of selling the other one on ebay or maybe craigslist since there's no reason for me to keep it.

I personally don't know but I asked my hair stylist about it. She had a couple of clients that got it and sent it back after the trial. Neither one liked it and said it didn't work for them. I have a Chi but I don't really like it either. It takes so long to straighten my hair with it. My stylist is now using a Paul Mitchell flat iron in her shop. She absoultely loves it and it took less than 10 minutes to straighten my thick and wavy hair. It never pulled my hair once unlike the Chi.

I so want one of these as I have seen how much better it is on my daughter's hair. I used a remington brand flat iron on my dd's hair prior to taking her to our stylist at the time and she used the PM one and you could so tell how much straighter her hair got.
