Has anyone booked 40%off on dates other than post card dates?

We received the 40% off code in the mail but can't book any of those dates. I was wondering if any one was able to use the code to book dates other than those listed on the mailer? It is killing me not to be able to use the discount! We got the same offer last year and were able to book dates other than those listed (it was a fabulous deal!)

Tried the same thing today, we're going a week before the date window for our pin code, still value season though, so I gave it a try. But they couldn't do anything.

Our trip starts Dec. 13 and we are staying through the 21st. CM said we would have to do 2 seperate reservations since the deal runs out on the 17th, but then the computer let her do it, so we were able to get the 40% for the entire 8 nights!

figmentfan.. Good for you for having them try. I have always read that the key for any Disney deal is that you check IN during the date.

We just got the 40% too.. Booked to check out nov 2nd - no problem at all.

FWIW, I was told by 2 CM's and then again when I booked bounceback that the entire stay would have to fall within the offer since the rates were figured by day now.

For example, in the past if you checked in during value season and the season switched mid stay, the entire stay was at the value rate. Or if you checked in the last day the pin code was offered, the discount was applied to the whole stay.

Now, they told me only the dates that are specifically listed on the discount would be honored at the discount rate - days before and after would be charged at rack rate (although a separate resv wasn't necessary). The same, they said, was true if the first night was in value season and the rest holiday season - you would get value season rate for the first night and holiday rates the rest of the time.

Sorry if this is confusing. Just curious if this has been anyone else's experience.

My sister got a PIN in the mail and since she's on my ressie in October I called to add the PIN. I was told the same thing, that since only the first 2 nights of our trip fell with in the time frame we would only be able to use the code for the first 2 nights.
I was then told that we'd have to cancel our existing ressie, book the 2 nights with the code, make another ressie for the last 2 nights and then make deposit on both ressies since it's a package. I've already made the deposit for the existing ressie and he made it sound rather complicated so we decided to call back later and hope for a different answer from another CM.

The CM I spoke to didn't even try to apply the code for the whole ressie, he said that he knew the computer wouldn't let him do it. Did your CM just try on her own or did you have to ask her to try to apply it?

We booked the same nights!!! We are staying Poly CL! Yea We got the whole time for the 40% off as well. We have gone from no Disney trips planned to 3 now. Disney knows what they are doing with those post cards and emails.

I have the EXACT same dates and the same thing, the code for all 8 nights!

I tried last year when the code came out and my August dates were not part of the promotion, then the free ddp came out and my dates were not part of that promotion. Needless to say, we didn't pay to stay at a disney resort, so we used our timeshare. This year I didn't get the notice, but did call and did get the 40% off for our August dates 10-17. I missed out last year and didn't want to miss out this year. However, if free ddp is offered for my dates, I would switch, but don't expect it.
