Has ANYONE Been able to book POFQ with any code?

We couldn't get POFQ at the annual pass rate for 11/30 - 12/05. All other moderates were offered so we decided to try CSR.

I had the AP rate applied to my existing AAA reservation for Oct 21-24. Then I realized that was the weekend of my mother's 80th birthday, so I called to have it changed to Nov. 4-7. I looked at the AP website last night and it showed availability but like an idiot I waited until this a.m. to call, and by then they were sold out. So I am booked at POR, hoping I will like that as well as POFQ. We went and rode bikes there in May and it's lovely but it's a short-chubby-middle-aged-girls-only trip so I worry about how spread out it is. I requested close to the food court :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: but we don't get in to MCO until 1830 so I'm afraid we'll be in the back forty!!!

Oh well, it's only for four days!

Well, I got some kind of discount--not sure what I got. I missed the AP code release and did not call until Wednesday night. We have some major issues going on with a family member with cancer, so I had not even made a ressie. Well, I made TWO ressies--11-26 thru 12-3 and 12-10 thru 12-17. (One of these will be cancelled depending on chemo schedule.) The CM just kept saying he could not believe I was getting the AP rate at POFQ for those dates. I was quoted 104.00 per night and did not pay any attention to that rate until today. I believe the AP rate for that time period is 99.00 per night. I did get the valued PIN code email the next day, but ending date was 11-22. I then checked the WDW website and it shows my ressies as PIN code. I will see what my paperwork says and probably just leave well enough alone. :confused3

We had orig. had POFQ standard room with the AP discount than a few days later I was Lucky to get the AKL standard room but when I realized that with the AP the AKL was still $218.00 per night tax included.. Nov.10-14th I called back today around 6:00pm EST and was able to get back my POFQ with the AP discount. I know it was almost $300.00 difference but it was to be a fast cheap trip so we decided to keep the $300.00 for food ect..
Chatty :confused3

Got AP rate applied to our existing AAA reservation Oct 18-24 at POFQ. Didn't find out about AP rates being out until evening. Saved $100.

I have two linked ressies from 12/09 - 12/27 at POFQ on the AP code! :thumbsup2 Standard view. There are no balconies, I don't want to end up next to a pool, so standard works well. :)

Oh! I called the morning the codes dropped--about 9:00 MST. Noonish WDW time! :)

Well, I'm out of the running for one of the covetted POFQ rooms . . . DH was sitting with us watching the planning video and I put on the bit about the resorts, specifically PO. he instantly fell in love with the mansions and now he's begging me to stop calling. *sighs and laughs*

We have one night at POR on 11/25 and our travel agent was able to switch it to the AP rate of $99/night for 2 rooms no problem on the first day the rates were released.

I called Sunday first thing and got the package with 1 day base ticket for each person and DDP for Nov. 5th-10th. Standard room for 2 adults and 2 children. We were originally booked in a room only with AAA discount for Nov. 7th-12th. The CM was very helpful and looked at many different scenarios. We finally found out that the 11th and 12th were tripping us up. Once we moved our trip back a few days we could get the discount. It saved us about $400. The CM told me that she suspected that Super Soap and Jersey Week are making things a bit busier toward the end of that week. She said that there were fewer discounts and rooms available the weekend of Nov. 11th-14th. We just moved everything a few days back and that was it! If you have any room to wiggle it may help. Good Luck!

So, even though you already had reservations, they would not apply the AP rate?

If I book a package on internet and I got a price of 1258,50. Is the tax already included or not.

Please Help

I have heard of ONE person being able to upgradeto POFQ and use the code. I've heard of about 5 people able to change their existing reservations there to use a code. I've seen more be told that if they want to use a code, they have to move out of POFQ and go to another resort.

I'd keep trying. Unless you're travelling from 11/3-11/11 then you should give up because that's when I'm trying for. :lmao:[/Q

:rotfl2: -Count me in I have been trying for pofq 11/3/06-11/1106. I switched to por when the visa code came out. Called as of today 8/27/06
still no luck.

I called last week and saved $260 during the week of Oct. 10 for 3 nights. They first told me that they didn't have any rooms available (I made reservations ages ago)....then after searching, they were finally able to apply the code, so keep trying!!!!

Still trying here too (we were going to give in and just say POR was good enough, but now DH has changed his mind . . . again! and wants to really stay at POFQ now), so ever day, call Disney, talk to very nice CM, can't do anything and feel badly that I wasted their time as I'm sure they get counted on how much they pull in extra . . . .

But, I must ask . . . can I borrow your time machine? I want to call 5 days ahead of everyone else toooooooooooooooo!!!!! (j/k!)

oh well, see you at the pool on 11/3 at POR most likely! :lmao:

I know BT (above) has heard this too often already (SORRY!), but I was able to switch back into POFQ with the ZBG code.

My original reservation was at POFQ. When I learned of the code last Saturday, I couldn't apply it to POFQ, but I saved $378 switching to POR (Nov. 4-10). I called CRO once a day since then, usually in the late-afternoon or evening, to see if I could get the code for POFQ, where I really wanted to stay. During my routine call last night (Wednesday), I GOT IT!

I'm back in POFQ. Persistence might just pay off for you, too. Keep the faith.

Wow, Nice, Good Job :cheer2: . I will keep trying. I even tried changing the dates a bit we are not getting to Fla until about 11:00pm so thought maybe we would just get something friday night at airport and check in 11/4/06-11/11/06t still no luck as of last night wed. I hate to keep calling everyday, do they track your phone calls??? I am feel like a Disney Stalker.

confused..... :smooth:

When they tell you there's no availability at a resort - do they mean just for a discounted rate??? I called and was given prices for POR and CBR when I wanted CSR. The said they had nothing for CSR - but at the same time, I was online and CSR was available...

I've booked POFQ and paid my deposit - I DO have POFQ, right???

We are at the POFQ regular rate in October. I have tried many times to get the code applied. This morning I called back twice in the same hour and wouldn't ya know it got the same person. She told me it was unlikely that it would open up and calling twice was a waste of my time. (I'm guessing hers also!!!) What were the odds of getting the same reservationist? Well I did. Yes ,they track your calls because she said "Didn't I just talk to you? Oh yes about twenty minutes ago about POFQ". Kind of embarassing..... I called fairly early in the game, but seems to be a giant game of craps. We all appreciate a financial break and its frustrating to play a game you can't win. Oh well, so it goes. I'll just get over it. Have good trips everyone.
