We have stayed at All Star Movies. We really enjoyed it. It was really nice. Here is a link that will show you TONS of pics of those 2 resorts and it has reviews, etc. for them.:)

Just look at the column on the left side to find what you are looking for!

We have stayed at both and they are very comparable. Clean rooms, nicely decorated, and the ammenities at the hotel are good, not great, just good. If you are a family that is using the hotels to sleep, and spending all your time at the parks, ANY value resort is great. If you plan on spending a day at your resort, we recommend moderate+.

thank you all for the info. i like both of them. going on our DW Trip will be me My boyfriend and our 3 yr old son. i think we will have a great time in either one.

Although I have not stayed at the Movies...our first trip to Disney in '03 we stayed at All Star Sports, and some people might say that the rooms are dirty, small, etc, we loved it! And if we didnt purchase the DVC we would stay in the value resorts every single time!! The room was clean and we had towel animals every night when we got back from the park. The staff was more than helpful at all times! And the buses....we never waited for anything more than 2-3 minutes!! It was great, the pool, the store, the food court!! We really did have a great experience!! The only thing that I thought was really more of a convenience thing is that their aren't any towels at the pool area like at the DVC hotels. That was it...and even that isn't that big of a deal, we just asked for more towels and got them!! No problem!! Either would be an excellent choice, especially like one of the previous poster stated, if you are not going to Disney for the hotel, but for the parks!! The hotel is for sleeping and showering, that is how I look at it!! Either way...have a fabulous time!!:cool1:

We have stayed at both. While I prefer Movies, my kids prefer Sports (for the theming mostly). Go figure! Sports was crowded when we were there, food court, pools, bus stops, etc. We also had a room far from everything which was a pain. At Movies we were close to the food court & bus stop, and it seemed much less crowded. Everything was identical between the 2 resorts as far as theming, room, service, food court, pools, etc. Our room at Movies was much cleaner than at Sports, but I'm sure that has been reversed in some situations. Your family will enjoy either resort!

We have stayed at both...Loved both! I think the main thing I would look at is the bus service if you plan on using Disney transportation (which we do). all 3 All Star resorts share buses. I believe that Sorts is last on the pick up - drop off schedule. Aside from that...my kids would pick to return to Sports just because they are both very into playing sports and would find it more there style.

I would not have any problem returning to either of them.

I have stayed at both (and actually, these are the only two we have stayed at lol). I, personally, would prefer All Star Sports because while they both compare as far as food, style, that sort of thing, Sports had the better pool in my opinion lol. While this doesn't really matter overall, if I remember correctly, Sports is the one closest to the main road while Movies is the farthest as it was the last one to be built.

Like someone else had said, All Star (or any value) is great if you plan to spend the majority of time in the parks. It does have a nice gift shop (but you will notice that the items in it are not very different from what you will find in most gift shops lol). Even though it is a value resort, I think Disney does a great job with making a "cheap" resort very welcoming and enjoyable. I have stayed at All Star many many times and if value was what we were looking for, I would definitely go back. ;)

We have only stayed in the sports but I believe they are both about the same other than decor. We liked sports because it was the first one the buses came to so getting a spot was more likely since we were going at crowded times. We stayed in the baseball buildings. yes they are the longest distance from the bus and main building, but since the doors are outside, it always seemed a little quieter back there.

And I agree with others that they work well if you mostly are there to sleep, but if you plan to stay in the room a lot, it may not be the best choice. They are really small rooms, even smaller than what I consider a standard hotel room, at least in feel anyway. Also, fridges are available but not included in the value resorts, so if you need one, it will run you about $11 a day to have one.

I have stayed at both and liked both of them. I would probably choose Movies if I were going with a 3 yr old. The theming is a little more Disney oriented. There is Toy Story, Love Bug, Fantasia, Dalmations & Mighty Ducks. My kids loved it.

thank you everyone for the great info. i want to go to the all start movie one but my boyfreind wants to stay at the sports one. we will only be useing the hotel to sleep. Maybe go to the pool once or twice. I can't wait my Boyfriend told me for sure we are going in early 2008. i'm so happy. this will be out very 1st family vacation every. what better place to make it then to disney.
