Harry Potter Moviegoers

Who's going tonight? Expectations? Thoughts? Reviews?
I'm actually not going until tomorrow morning (11:30 am). If 7.1 was any indication, I'm expecting a lot of good things from 7.2. The trailers & TV spots have all looked amazing. I can hardly wait!

Sayhello

Going Saturday night (some of us must work days during during the summer. :goodvibes)
I am going to have An IMAX 3D Experience.

I have been promised that this will make me feel as if I am in the movie:

The IMAX release will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience with proprietary IMAX DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.

My wife, however, hates the "powerful digital audio" and has to take ear plugs.

I can't go til Saturday!!! DS8 is getting his braces tomorrow morning and then he has a performance at camp at 1. DS11 has a baseball game at 6 PM, so no HP on Friday. DS8 has a baseball game at noon on Sat., then they both have "Fun Day" where they get their baseball photos and trophy thingies. I'm thinking a 5:00 on Saturday is going to be our best chance for this weekend.

Wish me luck!

lol Very cool, Jack!

I'm going tonight at 9. I have tickets to the Part 1 and 2 event at AMC Dine In. Very excited! Part 1 begins at 9 and then Part 2 is in 3D afterwards.

Sounds fun too. You do know Harry dies in the movie, right?

Just realized I am getting "exclusive Harry Potter 3D glasses" tonight. Heh. :D

I don't want to say too much not to spoil anything, but I had the chance to see it on Monday and it was AWESOME! Very intense, lots of action, and Snape's memories was some of the best acting I've seen in all 8 movies. I think it was the truest of all the movies to the books, some differences, but I don't think anything that made me raise an eyebrow. There was some humor that was placed well and fit nicely. Overall I really liked it and can't wait to see it again. The 3-D was cool, but I'll probably just go for the 2-D version next time (I got the special Harry glasses, which was neat). I can't wait to hear what everyone else thinks!

Just finished watching 7.1 as a primer, going to 7.2 at 11:59 tonight!!

I also have a Saturday date to go see it at an IMAX theater. I'm a 30 year old SAHM and am leaving our babies with my husband for some much needed alone time. Is it lame that I'm going to spend this time to see Harry?? None the less, I'm REALLY looking forward to it!

Not going until Saturday night, after my DH gets home from work. I would go tonight at midnight if my DH was off of work.

Going tonight at midnight with my sister and niece. Can't wait!!!
So far the reviews have been very good, so I'm excited. I haven't loved all the movies, but am excited for this one. Unfortunately not doing 3D, it gives my sister a migraine.

Also....Larry King has a special on CNN Friday night at 8 or 9pm, not sure on that, but it's a repeat from Sunday night and it's really good. Worth watching!

I watched it in a premiere event last thursday, it was awesome!! Ths best film of them all and i think it is even better than the book. It was very sad though being the final one, you may need tissues :'(

No plans at the moment for me (I never even saw 7.1 )

But my older son will see it tomorrow night.
And my youngest (who is a CM at WDW) is seeing it tonight in Downtown Disney with a bunch of CM friends. He's really excited to be going at midnight tonight.

We're going to a 3:30 show on Saturday afternoon! IMAX 3-D at Jordan's in Reading, MA!!!! Can't wait! We will watch Pt 1 and all the bonus disks tomorrow afternoon and night. We had a chance to go tonight at midnight but we were out late last night and DD6 couldn't make it late two nights in a row! She is a huge Harry Potter fan so it will be nice to see it all together! I will definitely be bringing my tissues! We've been watching all the stars on all the daytime talk shows and Letterman this week!

We've got our shirts from Wizarding World all set to wear! DH doesn't have one but the girls and I do!

TTFN :tigger:

We have tickets for Saturday morning. I opted for 2d. 3d just doesn't thrill us. I'm very excited!

I will be "completing the journey" in I-MAX 3-D tonight at 12:01 AM!!!!! :woohoo:

Well technically tomorrow...but either way I'll be seeing it in less than 4 hours!!!!

Unfortunately, I have to go to work tomorrow. Saturday in 3d. No IMAX. The last time I saw an IMAX that wasn't shot in IMAX, the picture was very dark. I'll settle for the 3D. No special glasses for me :(
