Harry & David Royal Riviera Pears

I got these as a gift from my brother several Christmases ago and I wondered why he would be sending me pears

Then I tasted one

DH and I went to Harry & David the other night, and I had to buy a single pear...Mmmmmmmmmmm

Anyone else love these pears?

They should be soft and VERY juicy and sweet! They are best right around Christmas, too far into January and they do seem to be kinda disappointing.

Oh yeah!! Moose Munch!!! That stuff is addicting!!! Have you tried the Moose Munch flavored coffee? It's was my favorite until this week ...we bought a bag of Butter Rum flavored coffee and this stuff is to die for!!

I have a very dear friend that sends me H&D pears every year for Christmas. I buy him Skyy Vodka and he sends me pears!!! They are THE BEST I have ever tasted!!! I usually serve pork for Christmas Day dinner and I take a few pears, cut them open, put cinnamon and butter in them, wrap them in tin foil and bake them. They are FABULOUS!!!!

I'll have to try these. We have a Harry & David store at Potomac Mills (an outlet mall) and oftentimes, these pairs are "reduced" in price because it is considered an outlet store.

And trust me...I am not someone who eats a lot of fruit...and would NEVER have bought a pear before in my life...but I buy these!!!

Christine, the outlet stores have them at a good deal right now (I go to the outlet store in Williamsburg)!

yes, the Royal Riviera are the best...and you can get the "Maverick" ones...they say something about them not being "pretty" but who cares about pretty!!

Ahhh, DENISE ...I am sitting here with THE catalog. Last Christmas my DS' DGF's parents sent us a gift basket from H&D. And I (cannot believe I am admitting this) had never heard of H&D! Can I just tell you all the PEARS and everything in the gift basket was just so fabulous. Well H&D have sent me a Christmas catalog and a $10.00 g.c.!!!

Hiya Karen!!!

I had never heard of H&D either until my brother sent me the "fruit of the month" club thing for Christmas...I loved it and their customer service is TOPS!!!

Now, I go to their outlet store quite frequently. DH and I love their mixed nuts, the coffee, cookies. I like the honey roasted sesame sticks and the bayou blend snack mix.

You really can't go wrong with them!!
