Harry and Meghan Netflix documentary

The visit to Pearl Harbour is now finally picked up by the UK press, as in the Daily Mail.

Let's see how long it takes before it filters through to the US media.

Boredom while watching a NFL game with the family... and a couple of beers. Don't worry I'll be back up a 6am dealing with stuff that matters. I assume anyone that cares about this stuff is just using it as a distraction from real life. All these millionaires crying on Netflix will be just fine.
Football is a lot better.

I hadn't heard about it at all until this thread. I just googled it and the first mention was from that hard-hitting news source....People Magazine ;). It said he visited in a "personal capacity". So, I guess that is indeed part of the schtick now....random pop-ins at military bases/sites....that aren't making news. I feel kind of sorry for him. He really does increasingly remind me of the stories of his Great Uncle David, a man who seemed to live out his post-abdication life was a real sense of regret. Harry now appears rudderless, and he's too young to be in that boat. Also, when you take a person who was once an esteemed Royal Family member and throw them into the mix with the rest of us out here.....they just don't seem that special anymore. William and Kate, on the other hand, coming over here to visit Boston for a few days only to pop back over behind the gilded cage walls....gives at least the hint or appearance of a special visit.

So your better distraction is better than anyone else using this?

Very true.
Personally, I've never once clicked on a story about them or listened to them or watched them on anything, because I just want them to go away, but OMG they are hard to escape on some of the fun "news" websites. Just reading headlines is plenty.

Not sure I'll ever again feel the same about black and white photography. 😳
I actually have Netflix but won't watch the show to add to their ratings.

Haven't promised I won't click on anything, but I really don't go out of my way to read stuff about them. Mosty just wait for the DIS thread. Lol. I did watch the Oprah interview, and read a decent amount after that trying to discern how honest they had been (hint: they weren't). I think they lost a lot of people with that.

There must be a person at the Daily Mail whose job it is to pay attention to news posted on Archewell.com, and probably missed the message. It was published on 7th of December and everyone was too busy preparing for the documentary.

That's the weird thing, he went in November, wearing a poppy. So I assumed it was for Remembrance Day.
But according to Archewell, it was for Pearl Harbor day.

No, I don’t know what you mean. I never understand what people mean when they come onto a thread about a topic to tell us how they don’t care about the topic and never read anything about the topic.

Other than, as I said, some sort of attempt to feel superior.
I do find it kind of ironic that there's an 11 page thread mostly filled with comments from people who have said upfront that they weren't watching the documentary. ;)

With the British tabloids you don't need to! 😀
Every detail is discussed and you can join in the discussions without supporting H&M and/or Netflix.

I cringe to think this was supposed to air whether the Queen had passed or not. Of course they did Oprah while the Duke of Edinburgh lay on his deathbed. We "hear their words but watch their actions". Shame on Harry for not only allowing this display but participating in it. This speaks louder than their disgusting diatribe.

He complains on and on about what the press did to his Mother, but yet now he is the press doing it to his Grandmother, Father, Brother and anyone else working for the family. And same as the press, doing it for money.

It's all about .... Do as I say, not as I do. :stir:

This is a step off but say they continue on their private lives and grow old together (hopefully happy). Kids are now grown up. Once on the internet, always on the internet. Kids are going to see all these shows, read all these articles and see that over the pond, had Dad stayed, they would be living the life of royalty (always greener but they won't know). That Dad & Mom upset Grandma the Queen, Dad the King, Uncle the King maybe at that point. Will be interesting to come back in 20 years and see if they ever speak about what could have been.

You're missing the point. That's what everyone else is doing as well.

Continue on.
Some people misread that. They thought the NFL game was the distraction. I was just clarifying that. I actually love football so that would not be a distraction for me, but our season is over.

I don't know that it's a distraction for some people. They seem really into this stuff. Which is fine just own it.

What’s wrong with being really into this stuff? As opposed to something like football?

No freaking diffference.
