Gems Pre Trip Report!
The Cast:
Me Gemma age 27
DH Matt age 32
DD Shelby age 2
DS Harley age 11 months (almost!)
My mom Ann age undisclosed!
My Dad Al, age . About 8!
My Best mate Lou age 24
Matts Best mate and Lous Bloke Terry age 27
So how did all this come about then? Well DH and I have been many many times together as quite luckily we both share the Disney and Florida obsession. I blame the parents personally
as my first trip was when I was 8 and to be honest I wouldnt go anywhere else if it were up to me
We have been with my parents before too so they know what to expect! Obviously we have gone on lots and lots about our previous trips to our friends and this year we kind of bullied them into coming with us! Terry has been before, but this will be Lous first trip so she is so very excited that she may well pop before we get on the plane!
We are leaving from Birmingham Airport on the 25th December. Continental Flight CO27 into Newark (EWK) then Newark onto MCO we should be there by about 4pm local time. We have booked a villa from a couple who we have rented from before the location is Eagle Pointe. We have never stayed on this community before but understand that its not far from the 192 so thats good enough for us.
I am somewhat concerned about how the kids will deal with being confined to a seat for the duration of the flight so I have lots of little presents ready for Shelby to keep her occupied and I plan on giving her a pressie every hour or so, hopefully that will keep her occupied! Harley however will probably sleep, and as long as he has got food and a lap to sleep on he will be a happy chap! Luckily the long haul part of the flight doesn't appear to be that booked at the moment so we shouldn't annoy too many people!
We are (at the moment) planning on going to find the villa and then probably get out onto the 192 for some food, which will probably end up being a McDonalds burger but hey never mind! I am sure that everything will be back to normal on Boxing day!
Then we are going to spend the night in the pool and relaxing before an early night!
I have called the trippie Harley's 1st's as it's his 1st time on a plane, his 1st holiday, his 1st Christmas, and it will be his 1st birthday while we are away! A lot of firsts!
So things I am looking forward to doing include:
New Year at either MK or Epcot, for the fireworks not really fussy which to be honest!
The fabulous Osbourne Lights
And the main thing is seeing my beautiful little girl meet her idol, Minnie Mouse! I am sure that more than a few tears will be shed! She has a spotty red and white dress just like Minnies so she will be looking cute too!
Well I am counting the days now and it's not long until the SDD - I will probably miss it as I am too excited! Our tickets arrived yesterday so that's sorted and I have put all the passports together. I need to iron all the clothes
and sort everything out for the kids, keep an eye on the weather forcast and pack my trip report book all ready to jot down my notes.
And I guess then I will be about ready for my first holiday in 2 years!
HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!
