Day 8 Downtown Disney, Shopping and Rest Day
Today we had a late start, ate break fast at the Pondarosa which was lovely, Shelby is a fruit monster so she enjoyed it, Harley had his usual milk and Weetabix at the villa though and then munched some toast at the table. I still can’t get how you can eat chicken nuggets for breakfast but hey this is America!
After breakfast we thought we would hop over to DTD for a while and do some Disney Style retail therapy, we love it here and couldn’t wait to get stuck in! Dad took Shelby off to the carousel and they went on it about 5 time while we shopped!
Proud Grandad
My husband informs me that this is Megatron? I have no idea!
Meeting my idol! Unfortunatley Harley bumped his head on Spud Head and was not happy so that’s why he looks a little grumpy in the picture.
Shelby’s main man – “Ball Acher” himself – that’s what she calls him!
By the time we had finished mooching round and purchasing it was time for food again and Shelby wanted a burger so we went off to Mc D’s. With full tummies it was back to the villa for a swim. We then drove to Costco only to find it was closed – bummer.
I wanted to go to Celebration to see the snow falling, but when we got there it was all over the night before I was rather upset as I really wanted to see it and felt a bit peeved that we had missed it. We were going to get something to eat at the café but it was an hour wait and the woman on the front desk was really rude and made it obvious that she didn’t want the kids there so we decided to leave. We ended up at Pacino’s Italian Restaurant on the 192. The food was good but the kids were tired and played up, I am not a big fan of Italian food so it was hard for me to choose, I wanted butter with my bread, not to dip it in oil – what’s that all about. Things got a bit stressful at this point and I ended up waiting outside with the kids for everyone else to finish. We headed home after this and got a good nights rest – ready for:
