We started a week late (Sept 15) due to construction. I wasn't complaining about the late start when I got to be @ WDW AFTER LABOR DAY (will never happen again for this teacher, lol). We had a great, not crowded time that we will always treasure

But I'll take those Happy Summer good wishes now just the same! And same to you!

We start day after Labor Day here in Jersey, too! Don't mind it in August when the rest of the country (continent?) seems to be back in school and I'm still on vacation, but I sure mind it in June when it's hot

For the first time ever, we start September 1st next school year. We actually have a day off in-between for Labor Day. It's going to be really bizarre starting that early!

Same start up here in Northern NJ and with my son going into middle school he starts a day earlier on August 31. Just the same all of you educators enjoy your time off, I will be working with my paltry 2 weeks off a year.

In Northern Ireland we stop on Wednesday.

Yeah NI finish much earlier than us, although I think we get more holidays throughout the year (well, the same in total but we get the half terms and I think you don't? Was a reason someone told me why so many NI nationals teach over here).

We go back on September 1st

Thanks! Our last day was June 10th and we headed to Disney, just got back this weekend and am going to enjoy some time at home, hope you enjoy your summer as well!

We finished on Monday and don't go back until September 14. It is usually right after Labor Day, but thanks to furlough days it's much later this year. I'm teaching summer school though. At least the extra money will be nice!

I teach 4th grade here in NY. Kids finished Thursday and we finished cleaning out rooms Friday, I didn't finish until about 5pm, always one of the LAST people out on the last day!
NOW, summer can start.
