joining in! love reading your plans so far! October looks like an awesome time to go!
UGH....a soggy basement is never fun.At least nothing was ruined.
no kidding and yes...
I love those autograph books. The ribbon with the beads is adorable! What a great idea!
Sorry about the basement mess!
Congrats on your new baby niece!!And for another successful Exploremore Day!!
thanks, thanks, and thankshoping to start putting my scrap room back together today...I have 150 pix waiting to get scrapping on including pix from WDW Jan
I love your fall trip crafts... I hadn't even thought about doing a door sign since we usually stay off-site. I'll have to get to work planning something fun for the door of our villa. Can you send me your design?? It'll be our 15th too & I could change out the Halloween design for a MVMCP design and swap out the resort photo too. You are so much more creative than I am...
By the way, I can tell your summer vacation has started... You wrote "new 6/11" in your title but today is only the 10th!![]()

Glad nothing was ruined in the basement incident. Yikes!
thanks
Lots of fun being had at school and I love the signs and stuff you made. Very cute!
thanks and yes I alwasy have fun thinking of new things to do
To answer your question about how we made up the time, they added thirty minutes to each school day for five weeks, and they took a couple of other days off away from us. In retrospect, I am glad they did it that way, and we were able to get out on time.
EPCOT...
TT- this is a fun ride, too bad we cant get the whole car to ourselves Id like to go on this at night and maybe the morning too. Well have to watch the FP times.
We want to ride this 2 or 3 times as well. I think last time we went on at night, or very close to it.
Soarin- I want to go on this more than once too if we can. I can smell the oranges already
![]()
Yup, we want to do this multiple times too. We rode it for the first time last year but only once, and it's my favorite ride tied with ToT.
FW-If Time
Mission Space- green or orange?? Now I have never been on this, nor do I have an overwhelming urge too, so this is low on the list, I asked Matt and hes says its only worth it orangeI dont know, I have no problems w/ TOT or the best of the best roller coasters that flip you, dip you, whatever but for some weird reason this freaks me out .
I CANNOT ride things that spin. I have no problem with ToT. However, I did the green side with NO problems. I actually really liked it and am hoping to get Mom on it this time.
Innoventions- not sure what wed check out in here, so I need to read up on the options a bit more, but maybe find those email stations to send something to the kids
We want to spend some time in here as well.
WS-Must DO/See
Malestrom- this is one of Matts fav rides Im eh? For this but hey you need to Stand by your Man huh?
I'm with you. This ride was weird and I'm in no hurry to do it again.
UK Beatles show I always want to see them so this is my chance, now if I can get Matt to dance w/ me?
We enjoyed this.I'm sad The British Invasion is gone, but I'm excited to check the new band out.
WS-If Time
Reflections of China and/or Canada-we usually never seem to have time for these, so this would be a nice thing to take time to do
I prefer Canada over China, although China has really nice music.
Entertainment-Illuminations its out to jury still if we actually sit to watch or just walk and watch, so question is are all the food kiosks/rides still running when this is going on like at MK?
I believe the rides/kiosks shut down at 9pm (or 10pm), whichever time IllumiNations starts.
So what do you think? Did I miss anything good?
J~
I love the signs and autograph books! May have to make my own sign for our door; I still have empty pages in last year's autograph book.
thanksI made really nice keepsake style autograph books for the 4 kids last yr and we have plenty of empty pages still.
I also like the American Adventure and the Impressions de France movie (great music in that one!)
Funny - I was reading about you seeing the British Invasion & was going to post, then I scrolled down to find your edit.
According to this article the new band is called "The English Channel" but is being renamed to "The British Revolution."
Yes I now notcied now they have two names and one for just Disney...
You should definitely give Mission Space a try. As long as you don't get motion sick you'll be OK. It freaked me out, but we all made it out fine. I did the green side with my mom & I thought it was just OK. Once I rode the orange side, I understood why people like it so much. Not that I'm anxious to ride it again anytime soon...I'm glad I rode it once & will probably be dragged on it again.
As you know Epcot is my favorite park! I'm sure you and Matt will get to enjoy a whole new side of it without the kids...so fun!
I am looking forward to it
Reflections of China is worth seeing. It's a beautiful movie. Also, if you have not done the American Adventure in a while, we really enjoyed that.Morocco is my favorite country so I would suggest just strolling through there and checking out all the little hidden treasures!
No we haven't done AA in a while but not sure we will this trip either just because of the length...and yes i like Morocco too
I can take Maelstrom or leave it....
I'm so with you on the Mission Space thing. Give me TOT any day! I'll be excited to hear how you liked it if you decide to be brave!![]()
Aww, I'm sorry about the British Invasion... I know they were a favorite of yours!
I know stinky...
I'm another one who is "Meh" about Maelstrom, but we always seem to do it anyway!
Kathy
Love your Epcot plans.
thanks
Re: Mission Space. I absolutely love the orange side. The whole gravity/centrifugal force thing is a blast!
So when Rachel said she wanted to go on it, I knew it would mean the green side. I was expecting to be bored with it.
But it's still pretty cool! Now I know part of my reaction is b/c I enjoyed riding it with Rachel and seeing her enjoy it for the first time.
However, I still really liked it. I expected just to kind of sit there but the car still moves around and it is neat.
I suggest you definitely try it once ... esp since this is a no kids trip and you don't have to do rider switch, etc.
Also, can you tell me your Jan dates again? Our friends bailed on us and aren't coming now (they are doing DisneyLAND instead since her family lives nearby).
So I need to make our ressies next week...maybe we can try to work something out to overlap...
All I can say is I rode MS before there were sides and will NEVER ride the orange side. It took my body several days to recover. I've never felt like that after a ride before but guess the spinning rides affect my aging body in a different way than they did my teen body. I do look forward to riding the green side with DD though. Although she may want to abandon me and go orange with DH and DS. However DS would probably be willing to switch.
Congrats!!! Madelyn has this one too. Wonder where I got it from?

Your play day looks like it went off without a hitch! Well done! So sorry about your basement.
THANKS! and no worries, it's almost all back together now...had to take apart the game/toy closet downstairs that has a false wall-entry under the stairs (Naomi-Ruth calls it the Potter room) to deal w/ leakage under there, but hey now the closet looks real neat that everything is back in nicelystill have to deal w/ my scrap room and the storage room...
Epcot plans!! I cannot wait for the F&W. We have booked a late lunch here at Le Cellier. I'm hoping that I'm able to get some kiosks in.
me too...Matt and I orginally wanted to do an ADR there too...but then changed our minds to just nosh off all the booths! (I am making pocket sized review books to write down notes...share soon!)
Ooh, Mission Space. I've only been on it once when they didn't have an orange and a green side. Sadly, I'll never go on again. It made me quite sick.Hopefully, you'll be able to pull through!
we'll see...
I was reading your post and thinking, I know that Julie must know about British Invasion. So sad, I hope that you enjoy the new act.
yep, totally bummed
I love your Door Sign, too! Well done. I've gotten something from Marion before, really nice work!

Aww...look at cute little Naomi Ruth! How time flies!
I am very excited to hear what the new Tiki Room will be like -- I wonder if it will be just like the original one!
I love your MK plans... and looking at all of your pictures.
thanks...the actual breakdown of touring is coming up! and I love looking back
I need to get through the rest of my park picks but life keeps getting in the way... only five more days of school including today!!![]()
