I can't imagine that you'd need a backup, Jules, especially if you're flexible with your times... but knowing you, it would be good to have your backup ready. It will help reduce your ADR stress!!

well I didn't get up at the crack of dawn this time...I actually didn't sit down to the computer till just after 7 am (CST)...I was quite tired...just couldn't wake up any earlier and had to make sandwiches for the twins lunchs too first thing.

I also didn't do a trial run on the reservation page...so it took me a few seconds to remember how to do it all...

but everything worked out quite fine. so I am glad I didn't get up any earlier...

I have:

Narcoossee's on Monday 17th at 7:00 pm and added our anniversary info. oh BTW there is a dress code for this: Men:Khakis, slacks, jeans, dress shorts, collared shirts.
Ladies:Capris, skirts, dresses, jeans, dress shorts.

NOT permitted in dining room: Tank tops or hats for gentleman, swimwear, cut offs or torn clothing. While t-shirts are now allowed, the policy remains that t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics areNOT acceptable.



Hollywood Brown Derby on Tuesday the 18th at 12:00 pm


The Wave on Wed. the 19th at 9:45 am


and later in the morning I called down to Disney to book a ressie for the Keys to the Kingdom tour at MK for Thurs the 20th. We chose the last time slot at 9:30 am.

here is a breif description from allears:

Offered daily, this four-and-a-half hour to five-hour tour celebrates Disney Magic! Learn about the Magic Kingdom's history and backstage secrets. Hear stories of Walt Disney, his visions, his philosophies, and his accomplishments. In addition to Disney history, guests finally get the opportunity to find answers to all of those "neat" Disney trivia questions and get an inside look at how the MAGIC KINGDOM operates by venturing downstairs to the main Utilidor entrance, see display cases of MAGIC KINGDOM Wardrobe, and Cosmetology Guides. Guests also visit the MAGIC KINGDOM Production Center, where they see storage facilities for the floats.

At the 2 1/2 hour mark, the group breaks at the Columbia Harbour House for a delicious meal which is prepared and waiting for all the Tour Guests. Orders are taken in the Tour Garden, next to City Hall, upon check-in before the Tour begins. Menu choices include a Fried Chicken Strips Basket, Fried Fish and Chicken Combo, Garden Galley Salad (mixed greens with feta cheese, pecans, grilled chicken, and pineapple in a zinfandel vinaigrette), Starboard Deck Sandwich (Toasted bread topped with ham, cheese, tomato, and broccoli slaw), and New England Clam Chowder or Vegetarian Chili.

Offered daily at 8:30, 9:00 & 9:30am. Tour starts at City Hall just inside the Magic Kingdom Main Entrance.

Cost is $78.81 (includes tax). NOTE: Magic Kingdom Admission is NOT included in the price of the tour.​

We of course used our DVC discount (which must be on file, cause she didn't ask for my id #)

We figure this time will work great for us. We'll be checking out this morning as well, so we'll have time to get out of the room, go down to airline services, checkin our bags and we'd just need to leave around 9 am to walk over to MK plus still have about 2 1/2 hours left on our own at MK before needing to go back to CR and catch our DME back


the only hitch of the morning was you actually have to pay for the tour at the time of booking and I was hoping it was the credit card hold so I could pay in cash there... oh well. I didn't want to chance it woud fill up since we don't have a lot of flexiblity w/ days/times this trip.

I have crossed off 3 more things on my To-Do LIST too ...

so ADR/DDP plans are finalized, ADR's made and tour booked...check/check/check

Now it's time to start working on our Itinerary pages, park picks, and TOP 5's...so stay tuned

I wonder if the lack of room discounts/free dining for Fall at WDW is helping steer people away from making more dining reservations. I just completely switched my ADRs around and I got everything I wanted at a time I wanted. Oh well, better for us!

yes that is usally such a big relief...kind of crazy how we fret over where we are eating in 5 months

yes good for us...the crowd levels are still low so that is nice...hadn't thought about your point before that could be true reading about alot of happy ADR's being made

You are going to love this! Rick and I did this tour on our last day there and we enjoyed it so much! You will be surprised on what you learn and perhaps some of the things you already know. That's all I will say about it.

I completely forgot to comment about the article that was done with Nathan!! I read the introduction and the interview and LOVED it! He sounds so grown up and in charge! I know that you must be bursting with pride at the strides he has made. You and Matt are just the parents that he needs. God put you together for a reason.
