Happy holidays!

:rotfl:

Obviously some of you have not been keeping up with another posting. Hence the reason this is a new post.

Dizwiz, I thought it was hilarious. Now the question is will the right person read it and respond.

The second story was also very funny.

Oh is this part of the secret game thing?

But, it wasn't written to be FUNNY - like ha ha funny - it was written (albeit poorly) for whatever stupid reason urban legends surface - to teach a lesson, give a warning, whatever. Then they grow - and evolve - throughout time.

We're all LAUGHING because it's freaking hilarious that someone would even post such nonsense on this board - not because of the content of that post. It's funny because we all know there is NO WAY something like that actually happened, and because there is no way that the OP actually knew someone it happened to (though they may have been told it did, in their defense). Plus the hilariousness of asking if it will be crowded on Christmas Day at MK. :rotfl:

The person didn't write it because it was a humorous bit poking fun at people who lose their children, though. That's contorting it into something entirely different. None of us are laughing at that situation, which would scare any parent. It's just the "facts" that are conveyed that are downright laughable.

Now, that said, I think that it's quite obvious that none of that would or could play out at Disney. Universal, maybe! :rotfl:

Children are safely brought to the baby care center in the even that they've lost their parents - and characters are never dispatched with communication devices to look for them! It's more dangerous to go to the grocery store or mall with your kids than to WDW.

This is not even a good story. Not original. Next time instead of cutting the hair off, how about a wig, or dressed in drag. And by the way, no beer at the MK. Overall I'll give it a 1 on the entertainment scale. :rotfl2:

Please be scared and stay home ... more room in the parks for me. Hmmm ... do you think they could kidnap my DH and give him a free haircut ... but I would not be able to recognize him since he doesn't wear red shoes. :rotfl2:

TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL

:rotfl: Oh, come on folks...this was never meant to be anything but funny. All of the folks that bit right into it make it funny. There was enough evidence in this thing to be glaringly obvious that it wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

Yes, I know it is considered to be a sensitive topic (child abduction) in this day and age but try and name a topic that wouldn't offend someone, someplace for some reason. We are a society of humorless, self absorbed weenies. Sadly I don't see it changing soon. I applaud the OP because it is so obviously false and taken so seriously by so many. Those of you that found it funny...congratulations you can still see the humor in life. Good for you.

C'mon everyone...The Opening poster Knows this story wasn't true...She was trying to be funny..hence asking at the end how crowded christmas day would be.
But Iam with the poster above who said its not funny. Sarcasm rarely is! ;)

I can't believe it took 24 responses to figure out this was sarcasm.

Wow. Sad.

Here is the OP's reply to another urban legend-type story on this site: If you click on the OP's username and check previous posts by him/her, you'll see the response below. You would think he/she would have taken their own advice....

"Seems like I've read this same "story" before.

Urban Legends sound plausible until you really start to examine them.

I'd wait before I get sucked into what can easily be a TROLL thread.

Umbrella strollers offer little hidden space.

Security met the DH on the way back INTO the store?

Nobody (police included) listened to the plausible reason for the mix-up?

Authorities would rather just "haul in" in a suspect who does not fit the profile of a shoplifter in any way?

Guests had purchased a major amount of merchandise, but were arrested for stealing basically trinkets without any consideration of that?

And the OP keeps jumping between telling it about "others" and then slipping into first-person about themselves.

Sorry.

I'll give it a 15% chance of being a real story and 85% chance of being hogwash."

Wow. Is there any chance we can post entrance exams for people to post on here. Seriously.

:thumbsup2

I can believe the responses coming from people. I am actually shocked. My favorite was about ten back where the poster tried to explain what we're laughing at. Those of us with an IQ over 2.3 are laughing at you.

What - no beer in MK? And no Shrek? I guess I'll have to bring my own.

:rotfl:

(Disclaimer: of COURSE I am not bringing beer and Shrek to MK. Just felt like being silly after reading that very silly story.)

My solutions to Trolls... the IGNORE funtion. The OP has joined that list. Personally I wish the DIS would just throw people like this off. If it was an ATTEMPT humor it's sophmore High school humor, perhaps the OP should get a MySpace account and hang out with the other kids! (Sorry, but it didn't disturb me, it just was not really funny. Not to mention that it was not well written)

I'm guessing the same people that don't "get" this, don't understand the new Borat movie either.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Undercover characters....I can just picture Eeyore or Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum chasing down the perps!!! :rotfl2:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
