After a year of “Disney Enchantment,” Disney has announced that the “Happily Ever After” will return to Magic Kingdom next year. A specific date was not provided.
The Happily Ever After anthem will return as part of an updated spectacular and is expected to resemble the well-known Happily Ever After fireworks we all know and love.

Literally just changed my July 4th week park days to hit happily ever after. We didn’t want to watch the current show ever again. So excited to see this show again. Was bawling last time I saw it thinking it was the last time.

Omg. You seriously made my day. My entire family did not care for the Enchantment show at all. It makes me slightly optimistic that Disney really did listen to the feedback from guests. And we will also change plans, as we had zero desire to see that show again- but this changes everything!

I mean they did say they just heard it at D23 lol. But yes it was the first announcement at D23 today that Happily Ever After is returning next year.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!! This is fantastic!!!!!!!!!! They tried to correct the massive blunder of Enchantment by finally adding in something relevant to Walt and the parks, and that made it much better, but the show could never carry HEA's load. Glad HEA is back!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome!! That really is their most popular, beloved show. "Enchantment" was nice but a bit too full of mostly the "modern" stuff (and with the COVER of "Into the Unknown", not the original!).

Sorry guys but I just read on another disney site that the Song only was coming back with a new show. The crowd started yelling before he got that part out. Everyone thought it was the entire HEA but apparently it's just the song with a new show.

Also announced Harmonious is going away for a 100th anniversary show. Thank goodness. Really says something about what a mistake that show was that it hasn't even been a year since it debuted and they are already telling us what's next. It took longer to build then the show ran before we hear it is being replaced!

This is the best news EVER. We love Happily Ever After. Still listen to the soundtrack music. The new show (as a musical family - even if not, I'd guess you'd have the same reaction) music was like nails on a chalkboard/completely devoid of emotion/poorly played cover music...simply awful.

This is the first thing that has made me Disney happy in quite some time.
