Okay, we are very, very, very -- let me repeat, VERY excited about our September trip to YC.
We've always passed by strolling along the Boardwalk and gotten jealous about the great resort pool.
But, I was disappointed when I called recently to ask about the pool hours. The person at the hotel said 7 am to 8 pm.
It opened earlier than I expected -- but closed much earlier than I expected. (And those were the hours for mid-July -- maybe they'll be even shorter for September.)
We were all hoping for a couple of nights where we would hang at poolside until 10, 11 or even 12.
Would love to hear from people who have stayed at the YC and were looking forward to nightime pool excursions.
Thanks!

We were at the YC July 8 - 14. The pool hours were 8 AM - 10 PM. I know in the past, even at busy spring break times, the pool has closed at 8:00 PM, but this past trip the pool was definitely open until 10:00 PM on most nights.

Have a great trip. SAB is awesome!

I believe their is a quiet pool also...that may be open 24 hrs...albeit, w/o a lifeguard on duty....I am looking forward to a stroll on the beach at night...however with a little one this time....I will be happy with just "balcony time" and a nice glass of wine:)

When we were there, the quiet pool was open 24 hrs. I thought it was very pleasant late at night. Definitely quiet and relaxing.

At first I thought SAB should be open later. DH was told that it usually depends on the time of year. It tends to close around dusk. He was told the reason for this is because it is hard to see in the pool area after dark, even with the lighting on. Because of all the large boulders and curvy areas, there are some areas that just aren't adequately lighted. Whether or not this is actually true, I don't know. Just what we were told.

We actually began to enjoy the pool area being closed after dark. It was nice to walk around and see the entire area without it being crowded. It is a really beautiful area and we found it very peaceful and calming at night to take a stroll around it.

I am surprised that they open at 8 AM. We were there Easter Week this past spring break and the pool opened at 9 AM. This is one of the busiest weeks of the year. We always go the end of August and beginning of September and the pool closes early. It is a little disappointing since we would definitely use the pool at night. The smaller pools are open though. Have a great trip!
