We are thinking about buying Handy Coolers for our upcoming trip. Does anyone have experience using them in WDW during the humid summer months? They claim to work best when the humidity is less than 80%, so we aren't expecting tremendous cooling. Do you think they are worth buying?

I don't have any first hand experience with these, but the humidity at WDW will be very high during the summer so I wouldn't expect these to function very well at all.

had no idea what the handy cooler was so I googled it. Walmart or the dollar store, just about everyone sells these small handheld fans with water spritzers and they are inexpensive (under 5. a piece).
They are GREAT, I love the spritzing water ones and would not buy the ones that only have the fan (which are these soft rubber? type material, like foam) YES, they do work, light weight and you'll love that refreshing water spritz while waiting on lines , before you get soaked on a ride :rotfl:
Have a great trip....I throw one on a carabiner clip and attach it to my lightweight, cotton backpack!
Tho most often I bring just bring a credit card and my pass with me now ;)

The misting fan does seem like a better deal! We may still end up with a handy cooler too - my mil loves gadgets!
