Are there special lines for disabled persons at IOA or US. I will be there in the end of August.(Lines i would think will be small)But it is a little difficult if we need to wait on the regular lines. Most parks we enter through the exits is this the case in there parks?
Should i expect the same in seaworld ? Are there lines ?

I'd be interested in this information also, as my boyfriend uses crutches. After two days last year at WDW, he finally agreed to renting a chair, but he prefers to use his crutches if at all possible. Those long winding lines though can be quite tricky. TIA.

There is no special entrance to the rides as the queues are ADA complaint (wheelchair accessible.) On the rides that have stairs you can use the elevator. Stop by guest services and let them know you need a pass for any rides that have stairs so you can use the elevator. In most cases, the ride attendents will notice and let you use the elevator but the pass you get from Guest Services will just make it easier so you won't have to explain at those rides.

As far as I know the only parks that are not wheelchair accessible are Magic Kingdom and Epcot as those were built before the ADA requirements were in effect for the U.S. To comply with the law, some rides at MK and Epcot have a different entrance for wheelchiars. Universal/IoA, Seaworld, MGM, and Animal Kingdom do not have seperate entrances.

This info is great. I was worried because in May we had a disasterous trip to Busch Gardens Williamsburg (we will never go back). The "most beautiful amusement park" was way too hilly and not handicapped accessible for many areas of the park. I understand the standards were not in effect when certain parks were constructed, but BGW didn't even have automatic doors for the bathroom entrances! It reassures me that this upcoming trip will not encounter the same difficulties and we can just focus on having a great time!

It doesn't help those with lung difficulties and need to avoid standing for a long time. Hope park will be empty when i go Aug19-26

There are many people who have trouble standing: pregnant women, elderly, people with back, hip, knee, feet, ankle problems, children who have ADHD, and other health issues. Themeparks have lines and many of us have at least one person in our party that may have a problem standing (I have foot issues myself.) My suggestion is either to travel in the offseason when there are shorter line waits, arrive at park opening when lines are shorter, utilize the single rider line, stay onsite for FOTL, or purchase express.

Another option for lung difficulites is to go to Guest Services and explain your difficulites. Most rides have a family room where you can sit. It is usually airconditioned and is near where they load the ride. You can sit there and be comfortable. The rest of your party goes through the regular line and, when they are ready to get on the ride, you can join them. Just let Guest services know and they may give you a pass for the family room.
