Hand mixers?

Does anyone know if you can request a hand mixer from housekeeping? I want to bake and ice a cake from scratch.

Not that I know of, but you can request a blender and sometimes get it. You will also need the correct sized cake pan and/or cupcake tins and all that. Assuming you are in a one bedroom?

Thanks. I can order disposable cake pans and all the ingredients, but I think the mixer will trip me up. I can get by without it for the batter, but not for the buttercream.

Can you order a cheapo hand mixer too? No way you can hand mix buttercream. Or fit one in your suitcase? I know where you are coming from. I only used canned frostings for cupcakes for the kids school parties. Good luck!

That’s a good idea. We are dealing with a peanut allergy so I have to do our own cake. Travelling carry on only so no space for a mixer on the luggage.

My last suggestion, will make things less stressful and maybe more $$ or could be less when you add everything up. Call member services and ask about premade cakes for those with peanut allergies. You might be surprised. We found that WDW takes these things seriously. Good luck, have a great trip and happy celebration!

I think Amazon has one for about $14. Not sure where you are ordering the other stuff from. (I looked at the regular Amazon website, not Prime Now.)

Thanks. I saw that one as well. I think I’m going with this option. Disney steers me to Erin McKenna’s bakery for an allergy and I find their cakes so heavy. Would rather bake my own.

My best friend and her daughters are joining us in June. It’s her fiftieth birthday and I want to celebrate.

That’s my recipe, I think this can be done. I’m just looking to do a three layer eight inch cake. Nothing fancy.
