Halloween 'Opening'

Does anyone know if the first day with the Halloween decorations is any busier than usual? This year that will be Friday Sept 14th. I'm trying to decide if I will need to book the dessert package for fantasmic (as its the only night it will be on during our visit....

I have been at DLR the previous 2 years on opening day of Halloween time at the resort and the only noticeable difference I saw with crowds is NBC themed HM lines are horrendously LONG!!!!! Usually you can walk into the elevator rooms from outside the yard but during the NBC time, they open up the cemetery area and it is usually packed (though this seems to be normal during the holiday time). I would recommend riding that first thing in the morning before the mass crowds get there and you should be fine. Other than that, they have always been fairly calm and decent weekends.

As far as F! goes, I would say that if you have the money for it, go for it! I have always wanted to do that experience and one of these days (when I have a permanent teaching position ), I may. I think the first F! showing is about normal crowd levels so it really depends on if you want to wait to stake out a spot, or wait for the 2nd showing, or spend the money on the dessert experience.
