Halloween on Oct. 31, 2002 Wonder?

Having received the corrected Halloween Wonder docs here in Idaho, DCL said they would try to get my November 10 cruise docs to me here before I leave for FL, and to call to check on them a few days before I leave here. Well, I was just informed by my sister that my Nov. docs arrived today - in Florida. Fortunately, she was there to sign for them. Working for an airline she is gone a lot. But now I don't have to worry about it. And yes - I had her check for the correct name spelling on the docs!

<B>rere</B> - I'm glad you found inspiration for a costume. After looking through those links, I'm considering all sorts of possibilities.

Well, I guess I have finally decided what to be for Halloween.....I am going to be a Halloweenie......just a goofy outfit (that will be no stress to pack)...so now I can concentrate on relaxing......I bought the rest of the (infamous) Disney dollars for my niece and nephew today and am just counting down the moments 'til my bday

As of a few minutes ago, here is the stateroom availability for our cruise.

2 available in Cat 4
3 available in Cat 6
1 available in Cat 7 (7620 "obstructed" - not a true Nav.)
6 available in Cat 8
Cat 10 is GTY only

Cat 11 and 12 are no longer available, but were GTY for some time, so <I>someone, somewhere</I> may have a <I>slight</I> chance of an upgrade.

Hola, <B>rere</B> - Nothing wrong with a "goofy outfit." After all, this IS Disney! LOL.

Today I got my hair cut AGAIN. It's short. VERY SHORT. Bad decision. I'm going to look FABULOUS for Halloween - NOT!

<B>andicat</B> - I'm sure your hair looks fine! You have a good face for short hair. Besides, it should be cooler for the warm humid weather of FL and the Bahamas, right?

Speaking of appearances - I feel a bit uneasy that I'll be meeting some DISers for the first time at MNSSHP, when I'm done up for Halloween, and that <I>some</I> (such as alicat99, whom I probably won't see again until Cruisetoberfest II next year) will NOT see me on the Wonder in my "normal" state. I'm still not definite on which costume, but for my face will definitely go the makeup route, not a mask. I may look pretty strange!

Kim - Is your Halloween Wonder group going to be M&M's after all? I just can't wait to see everyone!

Can you believe that I have pretty much talked everyone into "playing along" with me, and now I am having a devilish time finding costumes. Now that I have "the family" willing to have some EXTRA fun by dressing on Halloween, we may have to think of another idea. Time is ticking fast, but never fear......we will dress somehow or other!!

Weather is changing fast here, I am getting so excited to leave!! Unfortunately, I will be more ready to leave when there is snow everywhere BUT I will be stuck here!

I booked thru DCL adding on the $99/night offer at the Dolphin. I haven't thought much about the cruise lately. This is our first visit to WDW and I've been busy hammering out an itinerary for our stay.

Can't wait to meet eveyone!

I have heard we have this "one time check-in" at the Poly. Does this mean that we show our birth certificates at the hotel and just go right on the ship?

I saw another thread on a longer cruise and I think I saw that they had "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". Does anyone know what movies we will have?

I've heard(read on these boards) the same thing regarding check in, namely that if you are doing the land portion of a land/sea vacation, that you check in once at the resort, showing all documents(passports/birth certificate/photo I.D.) at that time. You will receive your Key to the World card for both resort room and cruise cabin. Then when you go to port you supposedly do not have to wait to check in again, simply embark when allowed.

I hope this is the case. It would make it much easier. I hope someone who really knows the answer will answer .

That's right, momto2dkids. If the DCL cruise and WDW lodging were booked as a package, it eliminates the check-in at the DCL terminal at the counter. However, unless it has just changed, they still require showing photo ID with your KTTW card upon boarding, to insure that the name on the card matches the person boarding.

I'm off to Florida in an hour, guys! I'll be checking the board from my laptop over the next 5 weeks.
