We are going to HHN on October 23rd. We will be going to Universal that morning, it closes at five and the HHN does not start until 630 pm. Do they make you leave the park completley for that hour and a half? Is there some place that we will be able to eat dinner doing that time? Any insight would be great!

If you are not staying for HHN then yes...you will have to leave at 5pm. BUT...if you ARE staying for HHN that night, then you will head over to the holding area for Stay & Scream. Finnegan's is open during that time for people who are doing Stay & Scream so you could eat there. Otherwise...the entire park is closed from 5pm until 6:30pm so you could not get anything to eat or drink.

The big advantage to S & S is you will be released into the park early and before the general public is admitted.

Staying at the Stay and Scream area is a huge advantage, they usually let you out earlier than the people waiting at the gates of the park are let in and you can usually do 3 of the houses in the time the people at the gates are in their first one.I don't remember the last time I did HHN and didn't stay at the Stay and Scream area.

so we will be going to HHN on oct 10 14 and 15
one day we want to eat dinner at margaritaville which day do you suggest giving up S&S i was thinking 15 since it will be open til 2 and we will have already been there 2 previous times

I would agree on the 15th since you've already spent two days at HHN.If it's open until 2am on the 15th it's going to be a peak night and lines will be huge so on that night Margaritaville before HHN and then HHN to do your favorite houses again without a rush sounds good.

That makes perfect sense to me. :thumbsup2

Yes I like the idea of the S&S, last year I didn't know about it and last year while we were waiting in line for our first house, Silver Screams I believe, this was their 6th and they already knocked out Saw and Wolfman, all they had left was Silver Screams, Chucky, and The Spawning. I was then sold on S&S

thanks guys i just wanted to make sure that was a good plan - we didnt make it down last year and 2007 was our first time and we only got 3 houses in because we didnt know what we were getting into and only had one night - 2008 we went on the second weekend on saturday did all the houses and went back on sunday to do them again, but i was just concerned because it is columbus day weekend followed by the beginning of hell week:scared1::scared1:

Haha, last year I had an idea on what we were getting into so all night I was in the GO GO GO mode! We only would ride single rider or if the wait was less then 15min, meaning later in the night we got on Simpsons and Jaws a few times, and somehow we were able to do Bill and Ted and 5 houses.

But this year I want to attend that Thursday night of Hell Week so I can get a cheaper ticket and cheap express pass, then I won't pay much attention to those crowds lol
