Do you need to purchase a seperate ticket for Halloween Horror Nights at Universals or is it included in your park pass???

HHN is a seperatly ticketed event. The park closes for day guests around 5:30 and re-opens at 7pm for HHN. HHN tickets usually run around $45. Annual pass holders can get tickets for about $20-25. If you attended the park during the day you can upgrade your ticket to include HHN for an additional $20 or $25. Whatever price you have to pay, HHN is always well worth it!!

so what you are saying Jim is that I can purchase my multiday tickets now on line. Wait until I get there on the day of the Horror Night and then upgrade the multiday ticket that day???? Is there a certain number of people that they allow to attend??? What I am refferring to is Mickeys not so scarey halloween party at disney, they only sell so many tickets to the event and that is it. Is this how Universals works??? Thanks for your help.
One more thing can children and adults dress in costume for the event???

You can purchase your upgrade tickets on the day you wish to attend, however I would recommend calling Universal and ordering them ahead of time as soon as they go on sale in July or Sept. Universal does limit the # of tickets sold and the last few weekends seem to sell out. No costumes are allowed to be worn by anyone attending. It's basically for security and crowd control I guess. While Disneys event is basically centered around halloween fun (ie dress up in costume, meet the characters, ride rides, see the parade), Universals HHN centers around the dark side of Halloween - fear! Universal Orlandos HHN is the biggest Halloween event in the world (with the possible exception of Knotts Berry Farms event) and well worth a trip or two each year (or 5 a year if you live in FL and love horror:) ) Universal really does Halloween right!! You didn't specify the ages of your children, but you may want to forewarn them that this event is intense. Once you enter the park, there really is no "Safety zone" - everything is haunted, and the louder you scream, the more the scareactors will pick on you!!
Here are some pics from the event:

Jim-
Thanks for all that info. and the pictures. WOW!!!! It does look like it will be intense. My daughter is 10 and my nephew is 11 however I feel that my daughter is going to LOVE it. My nephew on the other hand will probalby be a little frightened. What I will do is just call and get tickets in July. I do not want to miss this. Thanks once again.

It looked like, according to your great pictures, that there is a parade too. Is that correct?:pinkbounc

There is an excellent parade (similar to Universals Mardi Gras parade) called the Festival of the Dead Parade. The theming changes a bit each year, last year was based on killer toys. The parade seems to usually have 8-10 floats and tons of performers throwing beads, coins, and candy. The parade runs several times throughout the night, in fact last year it ran so much it almost seemed as though it was continous. Also be sure not to miss the Bill and Ted's Show. Many first timers skip it, thinking it sounds stupid, but this show cannot be beat!! It features excellent parodys of the years popular music and movies.
