Very specific question about upgrading park hopper ticket with lightening lane to magic key

Hey. Going next week I have 5 day park hopper tickets with lightening lanes. Hoping to upgrade the tickets to magic keys while we are there. My question is if I upgrade at the start of the trip will i lose the 5 days of lightening lanes included in my park tickets? Thus do i need to wait until my last day to upgrade?

You should wait until the last day. However, you do run the risk that Disney can pull MK sales at anytime.

When you say next week, do you mean the week before Thanksgiving? MK reservations have been pretty tight the past couple of weeks. Right now (8:20 pm on 11/15) there are no MK reservations for Nov 23, 24, 25, 30. Nov 26 has DCA available but not DL. Nov 28 & 29 are only open for Inspire.

Okay. Thats what I thought.

Who knows if they will still be available by our last day. (24th) I've been watching reservations closely... and nervously. We may still upgrade even if we cant get a reservation for our last day (travel day). But not worth upgrading early and risk losing our park reservations.
