Our family is visiting DL for a few days from 9/22 - 9/26. Does anyone know if the halloween directions are up? My son is a big Jack Skellington fan and I was hoping to see some of those decorations around HM.

I'm in So Cal and we go all the time. We're actually heading up tomorrow night after work. I'll see if any of the CM's know when they plan on decorating.;)

And if they are up, you will HAVE to ride HM. It is all decked out inside with a whole Nightmare Before Christmas makeover. NBC characters and new ride voice over. It's spectacular!!

Thanks for all the amazingly quick responses.

My son and I are in town visiting prospective colleges around Anaheim and the side trip to DL is a gift to my son who is die hard Disney Fan! For years he has talked about seeing HM at halloween.

Thanks again for everyones help!

Definitely check out that thread that JaxsonsMom posted the link to above. That's the "Halloween at DL" super thread, and it is the go-to, all-purpose place for all HalloweenTime info. In fact, not only is there great info, but there are all kinds of great photos throughout the thread, questions and answers, planning, Halloween Party info, etc. Many of us have worked really hard in keeping that thread active for months and getting it to where it is today!! It's usually right there on the first page of this forum - I'm surprised you didn't see it! Anyway, come check it out.

By the way, it's been known on this forum since something like early June that Halloween starts on September 17th this year. So everything in terms of decorations will be up then, on that date, including the ride overlays. The Halloween Party begins on October 1st, however, and the Halloween Screams fireworks will only be shown at the party, on party nights.

All the HalloweenTime info is in our "Halloween at DL" super thread, but this is what we know for certain about HalloweenTime and the MHP 2010 so far, as of Thursday, August 5, 2010:

• HalloweenTime at Disneyland Resort will begin on Friday, September 17, 2010.

• Mickey’s Halloween Party - or "MHP," as you will see it called on the DIS (formerly called Mickey’s Trick or Treat Party) - will, indeed, be moving over to Disneyland. In more recent years the party has been held in California Adventure.

• Mickey’s Halloween Party will be held every Tuesday and Friday night in October, and on Halloween night, for a total of 10 nights. The dates of the party will be:

Fri., Oct. 1
Tues., Oct. 5
Fri., Oct. 8
Tues., Oct. 12
Fri.; Oct. 15
Tues., Oct. 19
Fri., Oct. 22
Tues., Oct. 26
Fri., Oct. 29
Sun., Oct. 31

• Tickets for Mickey’s Halloween Party have been released to the general public. Disneyland Resort Annual Pass holders, Disney Vacation Club members and Disney Visa Card holders (Credit or Debit) can get a discount on their MHP tickets purchased in advance for October 1, 5, 12, 19 and 26. Call 714-781-4400 to purchase, or if you are an AP holder you can purchase the tickets through the AP section of the DLR website. This is the pricing information, along with the hours of the MHP:

Advanced Purchase Ticket Prices for AP Holders, DVC members and Disney Visa Card holders:

October 1, 5, 12, 19, 26

$54 Regular Admission Price for These Dates:

Day-of-Event Ticket Prices

$59 If Purchased and Used on These Dates:

All Dates
Ages Two and Under: No Charge!

Times
Tuesday Nights: 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (party guests are allowed to enter Disneyland at 3 p.m.)

Fridays and Halloween Night: 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. (party guests are allowed to enter Disneyland at 4 p.m.)

• The Halloween Screams fireworks will be totally exclusive to Mickey’s Halloween Party guests, and will not be shown to non-party guests during the rest of the season.

• More treat stations and more treats will be added to the MHP in DL.

• MHP guests will have access to “nearly all” the attractions Disneyland park has to offer—from the classic attractions in Fantasyland to the Halloween-themed attractions like Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and Haunted Mansion Holiday. We also assume that most of the DL restaurants will remain open during the MHP.

• MHP guests can start the party early and enter Disneyland at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. The official event starts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and 7:00 p.m. on Fridays & Halloween. However, regular, non-MHP guests who attend DL earlier in the day on MHP days can stay until 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and until 7:00 p.m. on Fridays and Halloween, so there will be a bit of an overlap time. We assume that a wrist band system will be put into effect to identify the MHP guests and the non-guests.

• We are not yet sure when the Happiest Haunts tour starts, and if it will be in October or begin in September.

• We should find out the full scoop on HalloweenTime and its agenda of activities and attractions in the next week or so (I’m guessing by August 6th or August 9th).

Hope that helps!:goodvibes

We have tickets to MHP. What is this Happy Haunts tour???

I've never done it, but from what I've read on this board, the Happiest Haunts tour is sort of like the holiday tour during the Christmas season in a couple of ways. The guide takes you around DL, gives you tidbits of spooky info and facts about DL. You get priority/front of the line rides on Haunted Mansion Holiday, Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and possibly Tower of Terror too (not sure about ToT, though). You get some sort of keepsake like a pin or a key. Oh, and I think - and I could be wrong - that the CMs act out a little 'storyline' for you on the tour, where there is a villain, etc. One of our DIS-ers posted a whole section about the HHT in her Trip Report a couple of years back, with a complete rundown of what happens, photos, etc. If I can ever remember whose TR it was and where to find it, I will post a link both here and in our Halloween at DL super thread.

Me, too...we've been to MNSSHP at WDW several times and love it, but now that the party is moving to DL I REALLY want to try it...

I know, I'm dyyyyying to see what it's going to be like. I would LOVE to go to WDW for MNNSHP one year. I listen to DIS Radio at work every day and they are now playing "Boo To You" every morning from MNSSHP.
