Hello All!

It has been so long since I posted. Lots of fun things have happened! We went to see the Broadway version of Peter Pan with Cathy Rigby! Lots of fun, my youngest dressed as tinkerbell! pixiedust:
The girls met Cathy and were able to get her autograph on their t-shirts... Fun! It was a really great show, too bad it is her last tour as Peter Pan, she does such a great job.

I added a picture of the girls with Cathy Rigby to my signature, guess I do not have enough post to put pics on my post!

The four girls in the picture will be traveling with us on the cruise. The blond and brunette are my neices, and they will be travelling with my brother and his wife and the beautiful tinkerbell and the beautiful one on the far right are my adopted daughters. I adopted them when they were 4 and 5, they are now 7 and 9. They are so excited.. this cruise will be the 1st time they have flown, seen the ocean, and even been out of Oklahoma. They came from a pretty rough childhood, it is so exciting to get to see them have fun. They never heard of Mickey Mouse when I adopted them :guilty: so it is a blessing to help them have a childhood, even if it started a little to late!

N-EWAY.. I have really enjoyed reading everyones post, and I hope to get more involved on the board. :grouphug:
We will be trying to make door signs and decorate also! pirate:

Hope to post again soon! Hope eveyone has a GREAT day!

GOD BLESS YOU for giving those beautiful girls a good life. Your little story made my day a little brighter (and it's really rainy here today!) Just look at their faces......they are just BEAMING! I'm really looking forward to meeting you and your family.

I've been gone most of today... and reading of your adoption has been really heart warming. Of course, you commented that you have gained as much in the exchange... and I can believe it.

Some years ago my spouse and I had given up on having any kids of our own and we were preparing to adopt. That was when we learned we were expecting. And since then we have had two daughters and every now and then I suggest to my spouse how nice it might be to have more kids again ... and she tells me NOPE! SO we then think a bit of adopting... but not too seriously .... yet. Your story gives pause to become serious again about the idea. But then again we have 2 young kids and we are pretty busy now. But .... maybe later on when our kids grow a little older.

Your family looks simply beautiful! :thumbsup2 I really think that 3 or more kids in the family is the ideal number. BUt then again.... any number is the right number, eh?

Cheers!

hope everyone is having a wonderful friday.....

It's been pretty quiet here for a Friday. I guess that's a good thing, eh?

SO... we're trying to persuade another friend of ours to come along on our sailng. They're sort of hinting they might want to do the 4 day instead but I was pointing out that the 7 night sailng is actually slightly cheaper on a per day per person basis.

And as a fallback consideration I am proposing some 2007 dates to sail. So I am planning for a 5th birthday party in 8 days for my older daughter. It is going to be at her gymnastics place. We need to sort through the parting gift bags (they're half done) and the menu for adults and kids. So far the easy approach would be to have Costco Cheese pizza and cake for the kids.. and some supporting stuff to round out the kids menu. And of course, we are not clear on what to serve the adults. We might cater something so we have pleasant flavors to serve rather then just make it more pizza or costco sandwhiches for the adults... which is the easy way out under consideration.

Anyone have any fun but not too dificult suggestions for food at a gymnastic B-dauy party?

Cheers! :wizard:

Sorry Crash.. I cannot think of anything good for you to serve. You are nice, I would leave the adults feed themselves! :lmao: As far as adoption goes.. as a single mom, two was all I could handle  , but I hope to adopt more when my girls get into thier teenage years.

The girls are on spring break this week. Early tomorrow we are headed to the lake house for a week of relaxation.  Have a great week!

That sounds like a lot of fun. I am jealous, I can't wait until we can go to a lake here. We are heading up to the Canadian Border in two weeks for a few days of R&R :drinking1 and if the snow will hang on (I can't believe I said that) we will go on a dog sled ride, which should be a blast. :cool1:

P.S. Are your girls at the lake house in the picture, because they look like they are having a great time.

OK,

:cool1: To kick off the weekend antics (+ a few days if we're still up for it!) how about we start a game? Let's make it a question game... I'll ask a question and let's see who want to answer. And who ever answers gets to ask another question of their own which anyone can jump in and answer! Who ever answers should COPY or QUOTE the game rules above to keep this going properly through the weekend plus! :surfweb:

Here's the first question.... WHAT 1st gave you the idea to try a Disney Cruise? This question appeals to everyone including those out on their 1st DCL cruise!

Cheers! :thumbsup2

No GOOFY.... you're supposed to ANSWER the last question posted and then YOU POST ANOTHER QUESTION for someone else to answer... and when that person answers your question THEY are supposed to post another question for anyone else to answer. You can choose to respond to that new question if you like. And it goes on and on until we "peter out"!

SO... it's YOUR tuen to post a question for someone.... and you should copy/QUOTE the section I have quoted above to make it easy for folks to see what it is we're doin'!

So... where's yer question? :confused3 LOL!

ok... SINCE Goofy did not post a question after he answered... and it seems he's turned in for the evening to catch a bunch of ZZZs ... lets try this again from the top.

Here's the first question again.... WHAT 1st gave you the idea to try a Disney Cruise? This question appeals to everyone including those out on their 1st DCL cruise!

After you answer this question you should post another question of your choice .... and someone else can answer. And to keep it going initially... please COPY / or QUOTE the above highlighted passage with the routine explained.

Lets go!

It is 5 am here :surfweb: and we are about to head out, but I wanted to play!

This disney cruise was my moms idea for the kids... she paid so I merely played along! :cool1: :cool1:

My question is............ What is your LEAST favorite part about a disney cruise?

Wndrmite,
Have a great time at the lake house.....I'm so jealous!

Jen should be back soon, right? Hope you had a great time, Jen.

We were supposed to go to Fla. next month for my cousin's wedding, and we were gong to go to Disney while we were down there. BUT...her wedding got postponed for a year due to financial reasons, so we'll hopefully make that trip next April.

Dh and I are having a "date" today! Mil is taking the kids for the day again, after Kylie's skating and basketball. She's an angel! We decided to go see Failure to Launch and do lunch. I'm excited to see this movie. I'm a big fan of Matthew McConaughey. I always seem to like the movies he is in. I loved How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. Anyway, if you haven't seen the trailer, Failure to Launch is about a guy in his thirties who refuses to move out of his parents house. So, his parents hire a woman to "fall in love" with him to try to get him to decide to get a place of his own. Looks really cute. Of course, I may be in this situation in another 20 years, because both of my kids tell me all of the time that they want to live with me forever! I think it's cute now.......

Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend!
