halloween cruise/ Magic: October 28th-nov..4th 2006

Hello everyone! I have read ALL 42 pgs and feel sad that I didn't check here months ago! I feel like I've missed out. You all seem to be getting to know eachother very well. So I'll try to keep up.

Sorry about the one that was scared away....

My DMIL & DFIL are BIGJACK from Akron, OH they posted WAY back like pg 2 or something. There will be 12 of us myself, DH, DD (will be 9) DS (will be 5) DM, DF, DSister (16) Dsisters friend(16) BigJack & wife (inlaws), and 2 friends of ours, and we are soooo looking forward to sailing with Mickey again. This will be our 3rd Disney cruise, (6 total, but the others were 2 RCC, 1 CARNIVAL, and they don't count, only DCL from now on) all prior cruises were western, so we are happy to check out new ports.

Can anyone tell me anything about Coral World in St Thomas I think?? I read something somewhere about it, and wondering if it is worth seeing.. also Paradise point?

I sent a reply to another one of your threads last week, (before I found this one) about favorite cruise memories. I also enjoyed reading that thread. Thanks for starting this one too. I had NO idea anyone would be starting one last summer, so I didn't even look,...silly me, only TRUE Dis'ers here!!!

Welcome back..I do remeber that you did post a DCL memory...I am so excited to read all of those posts it is so neat and fun hearing about all of the memories....I am the one to blame for starting this thread soooo soon...Thought it would be neat and interesting for us to all chat...Seems likeour little thread is growing and hopegully will remain strong for the next few months...

WOw twelve of you..that will be so much...for you and for us...Can not wait to meet all of you...Are you planning on arriving early before the cruise??We are going down a week ahead of time and doing WDW first...

Are you going to dress up for halloween??? We are since the kids want to so much...

Well, I'm still trying to get caught up on the thread, but NOPE! It all seems pretty tame compared to some other threads I have read (Did you read the "Live" thread from the Nov. 19th "Turkey Cruise"? WOW!)

I was just reading some of the reality TV topics earlier. You'll have to talk to my DW about Survivor! She's a big fan. I'm sure she will jump in here when she gets a chance.

She'll be along soon. She's super busy right now planning a birthday party and a DL trip (besides running her biz, watching the kids & me, pres of sorority alumnae group, etc.)

Hello all and welcome to awol and Kelly......

Hope everyone had a good weekend? Kelly had her first meet and did pretty good. Her next meet is at Disney on 1/20 so we are going to spend the night and go to the World on that Saturday. The last weekend of January she has a meet in Colorodo Springs so just the girls are going. Steven and I are going to Disney that weekend also because they are running the new Expedition everest at Animal Kingdom just for passholders.

I saw that they were introducing the new surviors today and that the new season starts Feb 2.

Well, I must get back to work. Have a great day!

Yes we really enjoy cruising with alot of family. We went on the 7day western 1/05 and there were 17 of us, we had a WONDERFUL time. Even though we were not able to port at GC or CC ...oh well you can still have a GREAT time even if the weather is not cooperating.

To answer your questions, yes are going down a little early,...Thurs night, not sure if we are staying at POFQ (the Womens 1st choice)or POP...(Mens 1st choise..$$ )
As for the costumes,...the children are ready for Pirate night as for me & DH??? not to sure yet. As for Halloween,..we have not even started thinking about that yet, guess I had better get busy.
Dh & I did the formal attire thing one night b/c DMIL really wanted us to, DH took a silly tux that was like from the 90's and DMIL was so sweet about it, she just thought her babyboy looked lovely! We will NOT be wearing the VERY formal attire this time, for us,..church duds will do for the formal nights & palo.

Hoepfully the women will get their first choice in where to stay...
I do not think that I will dress up for pirate night...do not want to have to lug more than one set of cotumes...I think halloween falls on pirate night..?>??

What type of cabin did you have on your last cruise.....

Ok must apologize not really in a good mood today just found out my dad has to go in for a biopsy for his prostate...So I am really worried and upset about this...So sorry if my posts are off or not really making much sense...

My name is Katie, my DH is Bob and we have two girls (Elizabeth almost 7 and Natalie soon to be 5). We were on the Nov 12, 2005 cruise with AWOL and Choc Marg and had so much fun that we rebooked on board. I have to admit that after a family vote I did change my username so that is why I am starting over at post 1 (and no it is not because I am trying to hide a deep dark secret, well not that deep dark-JK). We are going to have a blast and can't wait to see what kind of trouble, oops I mean fun we can get into. There you go AWOL we are lurking no more. Now I just have to get Bob to sign in.

To answer your question, we were in cat 9 in Jan and picked those rooms again, well for the 3rd time. We like it down there, but I would love to try a cat 5 or 6 Still tossing the idea around for the re-book in Oct.

I am new here as well, and since Awol decided to call out certain lurkers, I decided I should come out of the shadows sooner, rather than later. I am really looking forward to this cruise and hopefully getting a chance to complete the pirate excursion in St Maarten, that we missed out on last time.

I am sorry to hear about your dad. My dad has had to have the same procedure each of the last two years and the result came back negative. My thoughts are with you and hopefully you will get the same results for your dad.
