We just booked last week for this cruise! :cool1: We can not wait. I am Heather, my dh is Tim, ds is Tmmy (will be 11 at sailing), and ds is Jacob (will be 3 at sailing) We are all so sxcited! This will be our first cruise on the Magic. We sailed on the Wonder last Sept. I have not had a chance to read through the pages and pages of posts yet. I was wondering if you all have any meets scheduled yet, or if there are any special plans for Halloween? Please add me to your current list of disers who will be sailing. I look forward to getting to know all of you before we set sail!

WHEN IS CRASH COMING BACK AND GINGER???

CRASH WE MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Princessh! Welcome.

Ginger, I have been to both islands and we did do St John's once, however I was younger and don't remember it well. Should we do Trunk Bay over Meghan's Bay in St Thomas? You now have me completely reeling over Anguilla. I hadn't thought of going there. What is it like and how long would it take to get there. We are big beach people. Love the ocean and sun. On the flip side I am a huge shopper and want to shop in both St Thomas and St Maarten. Will we have time to go to the beaches and still shop? We did the Western Magic in Sept/Oct. Don't like the Western itinerary at all. Have always done Eastern and Southern on RC. I think Kristin (aka list mistress) is planning a trick or treat for the Diser's...right K?

Kristin........how's the stomach?

Fran, The ride sounds awesome! Can you tell us more details? Is this the ride that is fligh simulated? I don't think it is but that's the only one I have heard about. Tell us more!!!

CRASH PHONE HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the picture in my signature. I think it is nice to have a face to put with a name!

Thanks for the welcome!

Princssh,

I agree it is nice to put a face with a name...I am going to upload a picture of my family as well,,maybe others will follow your lead...

WElcome again...

You stand in line, like you are getting things for an expedition to Everest. There is some info on the legend of the yeti......(think abomitable snowman) (or however you spell it) :confused3

Once you board a train you begin to climb Everest..........but as you climb, the tracks have been ripped up! Suddenly your train goes backwards. You are whisked through the inside of the mountain. When you come to a stop, you can see the shadow of the yeti, ripping up train tracks. (Now this is the cool part..........while you are watching the yeti, the tracks in front of you flip) Your train now races forward, on a new track, racing through the mountain......finally past a HUGE yeti leaning over the track at the end!!! VERY FUN!!!!!!!!!

Hope this answers your questions. It is VERY smooth, and you only need to be 44 inches to ride, however, the yeti at the end could scare some kids.

Is this the ride that is fligh simulated?

No...you're thinking of Soarn' over in Epcot.......also a great ride!!!!!!!

HI Ginger,
I am sooo glad to see you are sailing with us for Halloween. I had such a blast with you Halloween 2004 :cheer2: WE have been talking about doing a "Dis" trick or treating, I let them in on how you had organized the T O T in the past. I am looking forward to seeing you again.

WELCOME- Princessh :grouphug:

My Dear Princess Olivia,
Anguilla is a must do at least once if you do the Eastern Carb. alot. The beaches IMO are the closet places to heaven you'll ever find. You have to go to the french side of the island, St. Martin to get the ferry to Anguilla. About a 15 minute taxi ride then a 45 minute ferry ride. You'll have time to shop in St. Maarten after you return from Anguilla. I'm going to look into the rates for this as a self excursion and I'll post it here for everyone. We could form our own group trip.
Same with going to St.John. But alot less time for shopping at St.Thomas, makes my DH happy.

Kristin, if you need any help with organizing the DIS T-or-T feel free to call upon me, I know it's alot of work. My DH and I have organized the T-orT's for past DIS groups on the Magic. On our last Halloween cruise we had over 50 T-or-T'ers. We had to form 5 groups with each group starting on a different deck. Don't worry about scheduling the DIS T-or-T the same time DCL has theirs, they a wonderful about reading this board.

249 days to go,

THANKS DREAMS UNLIMITED FOR OUR GREAT RATE

Ginger, I noticed you are in Maryland. So are we! We are in Aningdon, Harford County! Imagine going on a cruise only to meet someone who lives in the same state! What a small world!

:welcome: to our new posting friends!

Fran, that ride sounds like a lot of fun. My kids would love it. We live near King's Island and Cedar Pointe (both are amusement parks with LOTS of coasters, especially Cedar Pointe). We take trips there in the summer, and Kylie was heart broken last year when she was still not tall enough to get on the really big coasters at Cedar Pointe. She and I kept riding one called Iron Dragon over and over while dh and ds went on the others. Both of my kids love the coasters!

We love Cedar Point too! Last year we finally made it to the point that ALL of the kids could ride the big rides. We had so much fun. We are going to go to Universal this summer. We have never been......I guess it's time we break out of "all things Disney" and see somewhere else in Orlando.

The kids and I are all off school/work (since I work in the schools) what a fabulous day. Just getting caught up on everything we are behind on. UGH. :coffee:

Have a great day.

Teri I'm sorry I didn't even see that you had posted before me. I guess I'd better start wearing my glass all the time.

Princessh, How about same county. We are neighbors, we're in Joppa. On our last cruise we met folks from BelAir and Edgewood. Yes, it's a small world. We'll have to get together before the cruise.

Got to go for now.

Small World YES. Bucki and I live about 15 minutes from eachother. I think we might have even graduated from OSU at the same time? The parish they belong to is the same school I went to!

Fran,
My Dh was so excited to read about the ride...He can not wait to go and was measuring the twins last night to see if they are tall enough to ride it...Not that tall yet....
It sounds totally awesome and lucky you to ride it so much....

Ginger,
Thanks for the offer to help with the trick or treating...If you want to you could be the co-chair and we could do it togther since it seems like a ton of work..But whatever way you go is fine with me...I know Jen will help out as well..Right Jen?? He he..... I think someone brought up the point that halloween is the day we are at St. Martin so we might not want to do the trick or treating that day since so many will be getting off the boat?? Ginger you have been on the halloween cruise before what do you think??? And how did you handle this in the past??

Ok got to run and put laundry away and wash comforters...my kids got a hold of chocolate and got it all over...thats twins for ya!!!!!

Welcome to new posters.........we are getting quite the group.

As Fran has said, we had a great day at AK. Just glad that EE was open. It is open most days from what I hear but the official opening is not until April 7.

We are in major planning stage right now for May cruise. We can start booking Palo and excursions Sun at 3am. Problem is we still do not know where we are going. Supposed to do Coz but that is not likely so it will probably be Grand Caymen or another sea day. Either way it could mess up our Palo brunch schedule. We are looking at doing the Parasailing on CC if I can get past the cost.

oh dave we will want a full report from the may cruise...
Are you on a thread for that cruise too?? If so you must be busy with keeeping up with both..The brunch sounds yummy at Palo's you have done it before I presume??

Hope you have a great rest of your day...If I were you I would have wanted to go back to Disney today...

There is a thread for the May 27th cruise, in fact it is now the largest thread on the boards with over 27000 posts. I let Fran do all the posting on it. If you do not read it every hour then at the end of the day you have 10 pages of reading.

As for Palo, I would prefer the brunch to dinner if you could get the soulfle (sp) for dessert. We have done the dinner and the brunch on each cruise. They are not to be missed!

Dave

Fran, thanks for the description. I can't wait to experience it myself.

Ginger, Anguilla sounds heavenly. I would love to know about the prices you find. It would be fun to form a group to go over together. We will be in St Maarten on Halloween, how will all that work with TOT?

Kristin, my dear friend, I think you and Ginger would do a FABULOUS job at planning the TOT. No need to get me involved. I know you will probably have it planned by Easter!! Shopped today. Did I ever shop today......I'll call you later with all the fun details!

Dave, I'm jealous that you'll be cruising so soon. It feels like forever until October. We will have to live vicariously through you and Fran for awhile! Although, we do leave for Paradise Island 2 weeks from tomorrow :cheer2: This cold weather is killing me!!!!!!!!!

List Mistress could you please add us your list of Magical Halloween Cruiser.

Hi All! we are my (DH) Bill my 9 year (DD) Ashley and myself Ginger.

We've got a few Disney cruises under our belts but Halloween on the Magic is our favorite. pirate:

A "few"? That looks like a gaggle of cruises in your sig! Welcome!! As this is my first halloween cruise, and only my second, I'm looking forward to your insights! We are also planning to spend a few days at WDW before our cruise and have NO idea what we're going to do!

Yes.....but happily, I'll be in Disney tomorrow!!!!!!! :cool1:

Shall I eat a Mickey ice cream sandwich for anyone??? :hyper:

I just had mine, thanks! Hope you had as much fun as we are having. We just took a ride around Autopia with Pluto and we now know why he doesn't drive! (J/K - Pluto can't drive and my DS4 isn't much better!) Thanks for the EE review - it sounds great.

Welcome to princessh, too!

Will post more later, but have to go inventory PoC again. Everytime we ride it we find something else disappeared! I think they are already starting on the overhaul. It's funny to see what's missing (a hairy legged pirate, a cat, a parrot).
