We did both California and Florida for Halloween this year and California wins by a mile. Aside from the actual Halloween parties themselves, Disneyland and California Adventure had a much stronger Halloween total immersion feel to them. WDW just felt like they threw up some pumpkins and called it a day.

There truly is no comparison between the two experiences. California wins Halloween in my opinion.

You did the parties at both this year? We've been to OBB before but not WDW's version and wondered if it was worth the long flight vs the much quicker trip to DL again.

Yes and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party was a total bust. Seriously oversold and crowded beyond belief. We had been in the past and it was lovely with low crowds and walk on rides. It has definitely shifted lately.

Anyway, this experiment just solidified what we already knew. We are Disneyland people. I think we are done with WDW.
