Halloween 2012 @ WDW

I am taking my mom to WDW September 19th - 26th for her 73rd birthday. (Her request!) I was wondering if the Halloween Party will be offered this time of the year and if it is worth buying tickets for it. My mom said this will be the last time she will go to WDW before she...uhhmm...dies, so I am trying to plan a nice trip for her and she has never been there when they had the Halloween Party. On the other hand, I do not want to pay for us to go to the party and waste precious time on something not worth it, if there was something else we could be doing instead. Please help!!

I am 57 years old and I love the Halloween Party...but then again my favorite characters seem to be the villains. The parade is unique and the fireworks are spectacular. Hanging with the bad guys is kinda fun. We always wear costumes and we always hit at least one of the dance parties.

We have been going in October, the week of Halloween but never on Halloween. Last year we went at the end of September. Ironically the September party seemed to be more crowded than the October ones. I over heard someone say that the party night we picked was one that offered discount tickets to employees...not sure if that is true but it really was more crowded at the party than any of the parks had been all week.

My parents enjoyed it...Mom 68, Dad 73. My MIL enjoys it...69. DH and I have been to the MNSSHP many times over the years. We have been on Halloween Night twice and will be there again this year. So we really, really like the party. The tickets will go on sale in May and there should be a few parties the end of September. Everyone should do it at least once and I think she would get a kick out of the atmosphere and costumes. It is really festive.
