Do the Hallmark stores ever go to 75% off Christmas stuff.


I would love to buy the Ornament Wreath and the 5 Angel collection, but even at 50% off its almost $50.

The Ornament Wreath is beautiful. I kinda wish is wasn't so Christmas-y because it would be nice to hang all year and change out the ornaments for each season.

I don't know about 75%, but yesterday in Southwest Florida the Hallmark at the mall was at 60%. Even then, I spent $60 on ornaments. We bought a bigger, prelighted tree this year, and it looked pretty empty! I just don't want to spend full price next year for ornaments. Good luck!

I think it all depends on the Hallmark store... they are all owned by different people, so there are differences in sales. Most places around here were 40% off the day after Christmas, but one place was 50% off.

I'm thinking of calling the 50% off place- they had a TON of stuff left the last time I looked (incl tons of Yankee Candles at 50%!). I can't imagine they'd stay at 50% off because they just have SO much left.

Most Hallmarks are individually owned. At our mall last night one Hallmark just marked everything down to 75% and the other one was still marked at 40%...guess which one I shopped at. Both had a ton of ornaments and decorative items. I got a couple of gift for next year. They had tons of the wreaths available too.

I've definitely seen several Hallmark stores with items discounted at 75%...just not yet this season!

Absolutely. One of the stores near me had a tiered discount right after Christmas this year. 50% on one item, 60% on 2-3 items, 75% on 4 or more items. And when I used to ebay regularly, I always stocked up when they went to 75% and stored the stuff to sell the following season.

Our Hallmark store here is 75% off now. I picked up a bunch of the Disney Hallmark ornaments for my DW.

I have seen Hallmark stores go down to 75% off. But not for a few weeks after Christmas.

I just called the Hallmark that was at 50% off after xmas- they've moved down to 60% off.

I'm not entirely sure but I think the guy laughed at me.

I asked if they were lower than 50% off and he said they were at 60. I asked if he thought they would go lower and he goes "uh yeah, eventually" and I said "but you don't know when" and he replied "::laugh:: uh no."

Wonder if they are 60% off on the xmas/discontinued Yankee Candle scents too... felt funny asking after the guy was weird to me.

Does anyone's Hallmark's have the CitySidewalks ornament ? Orig. Price was $ 44.00. so I didn't pick up - local stores are sold out (& online too). Please PM if you have one in your area.

No City Sidewalks here. Didn't even see that one right before xmas

I went to the store near me that was 60% off. Still had a ton left- lots of Disney ornaments. I'm kicking myself for buying Best Night of the Week at full price. Oh well. They also had tons of the princess set if anyone's interested. This was the one at Colonie Center in Upstate NY. The two in Crossgates were still at 40%!!!! I wanted to go in and ask if they were crazy and tell all their customers that Colonie Center had way more for cheaper prices... but I didn't

I bought the goofy/pluto "Order Up" and the "Leap of Love" one with the two frogs. Spent $12.48 total!!!

The Hallmark closest to me had everything 40% off for a week and that was it. A day or two before New Year's they packed it up & it was gone...I guess maybe they shipped it to another store... ..but it never went cheaper than 40% off.

I agree that their policies vary. One Hallmark I visited had a policy of never lowering the prices on ornaments. I couldn't believe it so went back a few times but they never did and the ornaments disappeared one day.

Have you checked the Hallmark website? I don't know if they discount or not.

ETA: The website says that the wreath is sold out and it was only at 50% off.

There was 1 by me in Arlington, TX at the Parks Mall. I found the receipt still inside the bag. It was dated Feb 2, 2005.

I was told then that it was just the corporate stores. Some of the Hallmarks are independently owned and they do what they want.

I hope this helps. I plan to be at the store on the 1st Monday of Feb to see if they are marking down to $1 again. I hope so. I didn't feel like shopping for ornaments after Christmas this year.

I really hadn't thought any Disney ornaments would be left by now but....

After reading this thread yesterday, I went to several Hallmarks today & was able to get about 10 different Disney ornaments at 75% off.

Our stores went 75% off yesterday, I bought about ten Disney ornaments. I love all the Mickey ones this year.
