I know it’s a bit off topic, but I love hearing about bucket list travel plans and why, if anyone wants to share. I think it goes along with the spirit of the Hallmark movies, sharing time with the people you love![]()
That's a great bucket list! I've been to the Truman and Eisonhower's libraries/museums as well (would love to see the others you mentioned -- love Teddy too!). Truman moved into my top 5 fave presidents after that visit. I've been to other presidential sites, like the Lincoln museum, Mount Vernon, Monticello, Polk's house and Jackson's Hermitage. There's a few others I'd like to visit. I'm kinda kicking myself that I've never been to Carter's library as many times I've been to Atlanta. (Side note: my son hopes to work with one of the presidential museums someday. He's worked for the National Archives for a couple of years. If he ever gets the opportunity to move to one of the libraries, I know he'll jump on it.)
And I completely agree with wabbott's advice on the national parks. I visited a lot of parks and sites in the western U.S. and they are so memorable. Should my kids ever bless us with grandkids, that's a future bucket list item... a national park adventure each summer with Grandma & Grandpa.

I've been lucky to travel all over the U.S; from two huge road trips in a camper with my dad when I was a teen, several military moves, and annual family vacations to attend GIJoe conventions. We've traveled widely with our kids, but only in the U.S. My main bucket list includes overseas destinations. I'd love to go back to Iceland. DH was stationed in England at the beginning of his career and wants to show me a few things there (and see some of his old friends). I also want to go to Egypt (lifelong fascination). So yeah... I don't know where all we'll end up, but I'm ready for some adventures.
