Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

There are just several other places I'd love to go to, or go back to that are priorities. So many wonderful places on this earth. So little time.
So true. I was fortunate as a youngster to have a couple of aunts who gave me their old Nat Geo magazines from the 50s with all the wonderful pics from around the world. I still have those mags. Walt Disney and comic artist Carl Barks (Uncle Scrooge, Gyro Gearloose) often credited Nat Geo with some of their ideas.

My husband and I have been doing a lot of travel with more travel to come. Many of these may not be quite bucket list but are more about a desire to go exploring.

Last year we did Cancun and the Med cruise.

This year we did SLC area (stayed in Ogden) in Utah and for my first time ever I got to go up on the mountain in the ski lifts of Snowbasin. Normally if you're not skiing or snowboarding you can't go up but Snowbasin allows for you to do a sightseeing/pedestrian pass and you can go up the lifts and to the lodges there. It was amazing being able to see from that high up for once. I don't ski (I tried lessons and I failed lol) but my husband does and normally I'm content to read and people watch but I was so happy to be able to go up there. I know Hallmark has done several ski related movies already.

Then in May we did our big Europe train trip.
  • We started in London (did Harry Potter Studio Tour and Tower of London and walked along the Tower Bridge)
  • Went to Ghent, Belgium (my fav of all the cities)
  • Then to Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
  • Pit stop in Trier and Cochem, Germany before our stay in a castle in Kronberg, Germany just outside of Frankfurt. The Empress of Prussia built the place and lived there for the last 8 or 9 years of her life. She was the eldest child of Queen Victoria I and Prince Albert.
  • After Kronberg we went to Hamburg, Germany
  • Then onto Malmo, Sweden which we used as a base to get to Copenhagen, Denmark and then Gothenburg, Sweden. It was a whirlwind of a trip. I know Hallmark did the A Heidelberg Holiday and in terms of how large Germany is Trier, Cochem and Kronberg weren't too too far from Heidelberg (like Frankfurt is about an hour or so driving distance). Germany was lovely but boy my allergies went haywire there until we got to Hamburg.

In October we're headed to Japan also exploring the central part of it largely via train (Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, Nara, Kyoto, Kanazawa, Takayama and back to Tokyo). I don't think Hallmark would do a Japan themed movie but that could be interesting :scratchin

Next year in late March/early April we are going on another Med cruise with the same cruise company we did last year only this year we're trying out a 12 day vs 7 day cruise.

I know Hallmark has done a Portugal movie and of course the Venice movie. I have been really itching to do a U.S. parks trip and we may do that next year as a family trip with the in-laws. It's trying to decide which park would be better suited and when do it.

I'm sad to hear Ryan is leaving acting :( :( but I appreciate him giving his reasons and reaching out to fans.

I went back through my IMDb account and it looks like my fav movies with him in it are

Unleashing Mr. Darcy
Hope at Christmas
and A Timeless Christmas

My favorite movies of Ryan's are:

Unleashing Mr. Darcy
Christmas at the Plaza
A Timeless Christmas
Don't Go Breaking My Heart
A Little Daytime Drama
A Fabled Holiday

Just looking over Ryan's IMDb.com resume page in MY opinion, his last two movies were kind of duds.

Under the Christmas Sky
Fourth Down and Love

I barely remember the last one, other than it was at a planetarium.

And Fourth Down and Love was the one where Pascale Hutton looked absolutely miserable. Ryan mentioned, in his statement, "The industry hasn’t felt like the place for me in quite some time now, and my mental health has suffered from it. It’s taken me to a bit of a dark place, made me into a version of myself I don’t like very much. I’ve vented some of my anger and frustration publicly, and for that I apologize."

Maybe he and Pascale had a really bad time together. He was forced to play a football player, which most of us thought was unbelievable for his age.

And I will never watch Coyote Creek Christmas again, due to how bad Janel Parrish is. Her last Hallmark movie got a 5.5 rating on the IMDb, which is incredibly bad.

So, the quality and stories of Ryan's movies are up and down. He doesn't have the clout of Bethany Joy Lenz, Alison Sweeney, Lacey, Danica McKeller, who are able to always get good scripts and co-stars. Maybe that's also part of him leaving? Although, I'm just speculating.

Fourth Down and Love was so painful...It is interesting because I think he used to have more clout and lost it along the way. I'm not sure why he used to get the better scripts and partners. Pascale is usually a delight; I think she knew the script and premise were drivel.

Christmas in July starts in less than an hour! 🥰 🎄🦌🎅🤶

There is a Christmas marathon on 24/7 for this weekend to Monday 2am ET. 📺

On Saturday nights, there will be a new Christmas movie premiering. That means less new Hallmark movies at Christmas time. But, with all the new movies from Lifetime, Great American Family & UPtv, we can use the breather of these movies repeating, to watch more of those movies.

At the end of the row of the movies on the right, there is a little arrow to click which shows a few more movies to watch. :)

You can also just click on "Full Movies" above the row of the full movies. It brings up the movie in a List instead.

Thank you, Imzadi as always. I did enjoy watching yesterday a new to me movie called The 12 Games of Christmas. The tiwn of Yuletidecwas sure Hallmark picturesque! I would have liked clearer and added faith in the story. I appreciated what there was and message. To anyone who has seen this movie, did Lori ever share the name of her grandma with us? Also what exactly was game 8? To my memory, the game playing characters didn't do anything except be present at possibly a post office where mail of prayers were collected by the town's mayor. This movie definitely had an unique storyline and was entertaing, too. I hope each of you enjoys watching a fun movie today! :)

I hadn't written yet one of my bucket list places. I just posted this in another thread about a place being not what you expected. I'm reposting it here.

Monument Valley, AZ: one of my favorite places in the world. I've been there a good 10 times and hope I go back once more in this lifetime. So, it's on my bucket list again. 🥰 When I go there, I feel small and connected to a greater whole at the same time. 🙏

It's on Navajo tribal land, thank God. Or would have been turned into a money grubbing theme park by now, with each natural monument turned into some ride.

Instead, it is protected, sacred land.

:worship: The area the natural stone monuments are in is called: the Valley of the Gods. Yes, plural: Gods. You can see their artistic handiwork on the monuments, where they must have had a "play day", (God length "day,") or had a competition of building the monuments, with the last God setting down his/her clay "Mittens" at the end of building the monuments.

I finished watching for the first time, Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas. Overall, I really enjoyed the movie especially when Nate and Donna's girls sang Away in the Manger. Children singing traditional Christmas carols always warms my heart extra especially at church. The only two things that I didn't care for in the movie were when Heath ordered an alcoholic drink for Cara without asking her first whether that was okay. I don't drink ever by choice. I respect all who choose to do so safely. I just thought it odd that Heath having only recently met Cara wouldn't have checked with her first. This didn't end up mattering because as far as I recall, neither of them took a sip! Cara automatically believing a tabloid magazine's cover picture and coming to the conclusion that Heath was lying to her about being single also didn't sit right at all. Heath was a super sweet, down to earth guy who I would sure love to find a real version of, just with more (pronounced and shown in how he lived) faith. Sweet movie all around :)
